I'd never used a mezzaluna before, and this wonderful chopper has made me a convert. I rarely use my santoku knife or full-sized cutting board any more: the tools I reach for every evening are this little gadget and the small, round, concave board I use with it. I also do batch prep with this (red bell peppers and scallions that I chop and freeze). The handle is extremely comfortable and the blade is super sharp, making the mezzaluna much easier on my not-very-strong, tendinitis-prone hands and wrists than using even a high-grade knife. Cleanup is a breeze, and the included blade guard stays on well. Excellent product!

This is a good mezzaluna. The tool and its protective sheath are the same red colour. In the picture they look different. The actual tool is attractive and well designed. Provided that one treats this tool with care and respect then I can forsee no problems. I like it. It looks good.

Sono molto soddisfatta dell'acquisto. Uso questa mezzaluna per tagliare tutti i tipi di verdura e l'operazione è sempre rapida e accurata. La lama è affilata, ma con il coprilama non c'è rischio di farsi male quando la si ripone o la si prende dal cassetto. Le dimensioni sono piccole, ma perfette da maneggiare con una mano sola. La lama singola inoltre evita qualsiasi tipo di accumulo di cibo residuo. Il design è anche molto gradevole, cosa che in cucina non guasta mai. La consiglio assolutamente!

This is exactly the mezzaluna knife I have wanted for ages. It has a single blade and a single handle which I findfar better than the two handled and double bladed knives, much easier to use. This is my third Kuhn Rikon knife and they are the best. I couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase.

I am able to slice some of the most difficult things. It also chops up seasoning for my cooking without getting everything dirty. It is easy to control and makes short work of my chopping duties.

I ordered this as a gift. I had one and loved it so much that I wanted to give one to my daughter. They love it. It's very sharp and very easy to chop vegetables and fruit. Nice concept and very sharp.

VERY SHARP!!Does a super job of chopping, I found it best for me to use it in a rocking motion, after cutting my finger and fingernail trying to hold the item I was cutting with my hand. Glad att came with a protective cover.

I got here by Subway! That is, after ordering a few of Subway's chopped salads, I thought, "Why don't i do that at home?!"This is my second mezzaluna. Third? My first attempt was the . I don't think the OXO's double pizza cutter chopper counts as a mezzalune. The OXO was tiring.My second was a . I much preferred it to the OXO cutter. It still took a good deal of work because the blade is not terribly sharp (but, still, handle with care!). However, the blade cracked even though I used it only in the OXO bowl. Still, I liked it, so I ordered another in the hope that the first was defective.At the same time, I ordered the Kunh Rikon because I like their knives. They're the only ones I use in my kitchen.This is a sharp mezzaluna--weapons grade. Well, not really. Their knives are sharper, but this mezzaluna should always be sheatheed when not in use. Don't throw it into a drawer without the sheath. It makes fast almost effortless work of chopping salad! I had to learn to back off from how hard I was using the Amco. Now, I feel like the guy in the old Ginzu commercials. Chop, chop, chop. All done!I use it with my original heavy-duty plastic OXO bowl. The Amco didn't cut the bowl, The KR does! It's like watching hair grow. You don't see it in any single preparation, but over time the surface of the bowl is all cut up. I myself would not use it in a metal bowl for fear of dulling the blade.Highly recommended.
