This press is good for making spritz cookies. I always pull mine out around the holidays. Has a decent selection of discs, too.

I bought another cheaply made Chinese Model, before this one.It didn’t have a handle so you had to hold the tube, and squeeze a trigger. It was hard to use and basically broke the first time I used it.I bought this one and have only used it one time it has a handle, and it easy to use. It worked perfectly for cheese straws and has many disk and nips. It’s sturdy, comes in a hard storage case, easy to assemble, use and clean.I highly recommend this one after one use!

昔買った商品より抜き型が増えていて、とても満足ですが、コレはClearでは無いですね。本体部分がステンレスの物が届きました。中身が確認出来ない以外は不便が無いので良いですが、厳密には別の製品です。

Absolutely LOVE it!!I was hesitant to buy a cookie press, as I remember my mother always complaining about hers, but...I also really loved the cookies she used to bake at Christmas...and then refused to bake because she hated her cookie press...(Hers was a copper screw style press). I knocked out dozens of cookies easily, quickly, and enjoyably with ZERO problems. I loved it. ...and my mother was by today to visit....and now has my cookie press ;)

The Kuhn cookie press is easy to use and makes perfect little cookies, it's just too bad that it's a bit chintzy in construction. The press consists of the trigger/plunger assembly, the clear plastic tube that holds the dough, and the end cap that holds the cookie pattern disk. The mechanics of the press (the handle, springs, plunger rod, and release button) are all made of metal, while the rest of the press is plastic. The cookie pattern discs are made of aluminum and include a wide variety of shapes and styles. While all the important parts are made of metal, the plastics used in the rest of the press are very cheap feeling, and indeed the metal trigger kept cutting into the plastic used for the handle when I would press out cookies, breaking some of the plastic handle off. Thankfully when the press is assembled and used it feels fairly sturdy in the hand.Using the press is very simple. You simply screw the plastic dough tube to the trigger assembly, press the button on top of the trigger to pull back the plunger, insert some dough, then pick a cookie disk and screw it onto the other end of the dough tube. Once assembled and loaded you pull the trigger until the dough is compacted and starts to come out of the disk. One pull of the trigger clicks the plunger forward the perfect amount to make one cookie. It works very well and I used many shapes, and only had a problem with one of them not releasing the cookies perfectly. The press itself is dishwasher safe. I've run it through the machine a few times and it came out clean and without any issues. The cookie pattern disks should be hand washed, however.I tried the recipe that is included with the press and the cookies came out perfectly shaped and delicious. They are fairly small and thin so you get lots of cookies from each batch. All in all... a fun way to make tasty, perfect cookies.

We got this last week in an attempt to save time making cookies. The design is great. The end that holds the plates on DOES screw on, contrary to a couple of the reviews, so that issue must have been fixed. Love that dispensing of dough is "one click" versus guessing how much dough to press. Makes for even, consistent cookie size.We made the ginger spice cookies. The recipe made 8 dozen cookies and they were made in no time. All our pans are non-stick and we were concerned it might be an issue but it wasn't. The dough texture was fantastic and we had no problems, despite living at high altitude. Cookies cooked in less time than the recipe called for. Clean up of the device was easy too.We also made the cheese straws and they are phenomenal! Just a hint of cayenne. We are extremely happy with this. Makes making large batches of cookies a breeze versus something to be dreaded. Looking forward to making the vanilla cookies next (they have cardamom in them).

I had been thinking about getting one of these for a while, but thought it might be of faff to use and clean, and become yet another gadget taking up space in the cupboard. How wrong I was - really wish I'd got one sooner! Anyway, have one now and have just finished making my first batch of cookies. Really easy and very successful. It arrives neatly boxed and you could use the box for storage. Very little assembly required and it isn't rocket science to operate it. The enclosed information leaflet is straight forward and I followed their instructions to the letter - even though I was convinced that using a non-stick baking sheet was going to result in disaster. Out of interest I used a couple of old sheets which I think had been non-stick once upon a time but are now looking pretty battered. I found that if I gave the cookies just a couple of minutes to cool before taking them off the sheet with a pallet knife they popped off perfectly - a couple cracked but they still tasted good ;-).Four recipes are included and I used the vanilla cookie one. Makes a fairly stiff dough but it feeds through the press with ease. Produces masses of cookies; recipe says 4 dozen but I made in excess of 50 with just a little dough left which my son was happy to eat straight from the bowl! The cookies are super quick to 'press out' and all the shapes I tried worked a treat. You get a good range of discs to shape the cookies (with seasonal Christmas and Halloween options) and it's easy to swap discs part way through. Just keep a close eye on them while cooking as they can go from golden to burnt in the blink of an eye!!Clean up seems quite straight forward - discs need to be hand washed or apparently they'll discolour; the rest can go in the top tray of your dishwasher.End product looked and tasted very professional. I'm planning to make loads for our school Christmas fair to sell in little cellophane bags and will be making batches to take as hostess gifts when out visiting - will pop them in an inexpensive glass jar with a bit of gingham ribbon round the lid. Friends are sure to think I've gone to a lot of time and trouble (if only they knew!!).

Simplicity and ease of use first time out of the gate. Most importantly, it produces GOOD RESULTS without hassle. Unlike earlier presses I have used (the old screw feed used as a kid, and a later electric feed thing with a long threaded stem down the tube which was a nightmare to use), this press proved to be very user friendly. The one-click = one-cookie trigger feed produces consistent cookies. Sweet.I did notice that it is a little smaller than the old screw gun, and the cookies are smaller. My first batch looked miniature in comparison to the old ones, but they came out great. Averaged just under 2" across per cookie. With the smaller size cookie, I found the included recipes to be way off on yield and cooking time. The included recipe indicated it would yield 48 cookies, with a baking time of 10-12 min at 375 degrees. My results, with their recipe, yielded 96 cookies (double their stated amount), and I found that they would burn if baked more than 7 minutes at 375 (the recipe lists 10-12 minutes which is charcoal city). And yes, my oven is calibrated. I believe this is partially due to the smaller size cookie the press clicks out.Keeping in mind to expect a lot of smaller cookies, baking them for about half the stated time, the results are excellent. Make sure the dough is of the right consistency. If it is too thick, requiring a strongman grip to squeeze the trigger, you'll probabbly blow the press apart.

Got this press today and was excited to use it. I have tried numerous other plastic disc presses and have come to the conclusion that the metal discs are the ticket! The Kuhn Rikon produces a nice cookie shape with many pattern choices. Instruction booklet is specific about NOT refrigerating the dough prior to use and NOT using non-stick pans. It suggests using cool, clean baking sheets, stoneware works best. It comes with recipes, however, I used my grandmothers favorite and it works just as well. I even colored the dough and it still perfected each cookie. This press is well made and comes in a great storage box that I will be sure to pass on to my daughters.
