I'm extremely disappointed with these screws. They protrude about by 1/16" when joining together 3/4" Baltic Birch Plywood. I have the Kreg K5 Master System and set the depth to 5/8". I thought I just screwed up with my first try but they I tried several times and yet the screws still protrude about 1/16" I might have to find shorter pocket screws. I'm not sure if there's such a 1-1/4" pocket screws.I'll reach out to the company (Kreg). I hope they can help. I will change my rating as soon as I get some assistance from the company.UPDATE: July 18, 2020I had originally given these pocket screws 3 stars because the tip of the screw kept protruding about 1/16". After further investigation (and a call to Kreg's Technical Support), the problems were not the screws. The problems were the inconsistent thickness of the 3/4" Baltic Birch Plywood and the loose collar of my drill bit. I purchased a new Kreg's drill bit collar a few days ago and started using them yesterday. I managed to solve my problems with the help of the new drill bit collar and measuring the thickness of the plywood panels before drilling pocket holes. It's tedious but it's worth it.

I used to build cabinets the old fashioned way (mortise and tennon). I wish these had been available decades ago. It makes cabinet work a breeze. Though, the joint with the Kreg system is not as strong as a mortise and tennon joint, I don't think anyone makes cabinets that are designed to be beat up and dropped repeatedly. After they're in place, they should just stay together, and this system works well for that. Much faster than making mortise and tennon, and looks just as good, though not nearly as strong.
