I have 8 already (2 sets). Mosty used during sanding of boards. They are a calibrated way to lift the workpiece a little higher.

These were very nice and convenient when I first started using them, but after using the swivel a few times to put the pointer out for painting projects, the units very quickly stopped working properly. The design, while very nice in concept are engineered flawed. They broke very easily and after a few swivel, they quickly becomes unaliged and refuses to swivel back down to a flat surface. I would not buy these again.

Works well as holding product in place. It also works well as paint points.

The mister is so amazed on how well these blocks work, he gave me a demonstration. He uses them for many things including when he is sanding and doesn't want his work sliding around.

Me dedico a hacer muebles sobre diseño y no tenía forma de cómo apoyar mis tablas para barnizar, sin que se marcaran, esta opción es excelente ya que puedo trabajar más rápido y sin estropear la parte ya barnizada.

These are the second set of blocks that I purchased. The first set was very, very difficult to raise and lower the 'points'. One of those blocks came apart and would not go back together so I dumped them and purchased a new set. This new set is very easy to raise and lower the points. They are handy to raise wood work off a table surface for cutting, sanding or painting. They are handy .

I’ve used these quite a bit when finishing g small project. They hold things in place very well while I’m sanding. And the twist up points work great when I’m ready to apply finish. This purchase was my second set. First set is still great I just found myself having to apply finish to more projects at the same time. They are a little hard to twist up and down sometimes so consider buying some grip strength trainers too :)

I saw a YouTube video review of these project blocks, and realized they were the solution to several issues I've had in my shop. The non-slip surface of these blocks is quite good - they keep things quite steady. The pop-out "points" (included at no extra charge, unlike some of the other more expensive alternatives) are incredibly useful when staining or painting things. At first, I had a little trouble getting them to extend / retract from the blocks, but after just a few uses, either they loosened up a bit, or I just got better at it, because it's no longer an issue.

I do a lot of carpentry projects in my basement and have made my own risers to fit into my work table to raise wood panels for cutting and painting. They do not even come close to how amazing these Kreg project blocks are. Nothing, and I mean nothing, slips off these blocks. As for painting projects and the adjustable point, it works great for one panel but if you have several panels to paint or stain, the price point would be a little high for just 4 blocks. There are several cheaper options. As for these Kreg blocks, I will be telling my family that I want more for my birthday, fathers day, and Christmas. (I'm tough to buy for). Love these blocks and highly recommend.
