As a vertically challenged person I need stepstools around the house in order to reach the top shelf of cabinets and closets. This one is wider than the other two I have. The plastic is not as thick as my oldest one, it's still solid and I have no concerns about supporting my 140lbs. It folds easily so it can be out of way, and adds about 9in of height. I am very pleased with the stepstool.

This extra wide stepstool is already becoming a workhorse in our kitchen. My kids use it to reach the way-too-high microwave oven, I occasionally perch atop it to stir fry on my way-too-high stove, and it stashes away easily for quick access to other out-of-reach items. The stool folds easily, has a grab handle to allow us to easily tote it from here to there, and is solid and stable underneath our feet. The extra width is a feature I didn’t know we needed – it just provides that extra space and stability to make reaching for things that much safer. This is a good buy!

This is a great step stool. It is larger than a lot of the others we've had. It folds up nicely and opens nicely too. The platform is at least 50% larger than normal ones. It allows me to stand on it a lot easier. It is very sturdy also. It says it holds up to 300lbs and I can believe it.

This is a great step stool. It has a lot of space for kids and adults stepping on it. It is sturdy and well made. The plastic is strong and will hold a lot of weight. We mainly have it in the bathroom for our kids to stand up on and wash their hands or brush their teeth. It folds up easily to store away.

It is made of average-quality material. It is a good step stool around the house, particularly since it can be folded up for easy storage. However, maybe due to its foldable design, it does not seem to be very sturdy when stepping on it.

I often do work in the garage that requires me to kneel, and this stool has made things much easier and more comfortable on my knees. The width is great, providing a more comfortable seat, and it’s easy to store since it folds up compactly. The only thing to note is that because it's so wide, I wouldn’t recommend putting all your weight on it while standing. But for sitting or using it as a step stool, it works well.

I have many of these stepstools around the house. I mostly use them to step up to the higher shelves. But I also use them to sit on to access lower cabinets because I don't like to squat! This is the first 15" wide one I've had and it does feel much safer to stand on. The fold-up design and built-in handle are great.

I am one of the many people needing a step lower than the running board of a vehicle- I have been looking for ages, preferably for an attachment to the existing nice running board, and if not that, then a step that would be light in weight, fold to not take up much room while inside the vehicle, and have some way to lift it in after me. I also did not want to spend a huge chunk of money to put on different running boards with power lift, and really did not think they would drop down low enough to be easy for me anyway- and power ed ones just means one more thing to go wrong- what if they went out while out away from home? So far I had not found anything that seemed really good- I have a different style from this that has 2 steps for a F250SD, which was the best I thought was available at the time, but it really was not satisfactory for my SUV- which is a mid-sized older Explorer. When I saw this, I had to try it, and it is great! It is 5 inches high, not quite half the distance to the running board, but that is enough that I can step up on it, then step up with other foot onto it also, and then step into the vehicle. There is an opening where the handle is when it is unfolded and I use a metal T-handled in-ground water valve long shut off key, or gate valve key I already had to slip into that hole, turn it 90 degrees and lift the step up to where I can grab it and take it into the vehicle - it folds so nice and flat it takes up very little space. I think it could lay on the floor of the passenger's side and not be an inconvenience even if someone was sitting on that seat. I would guess if you had a metal rod the right length that you could bend the end to a right angle, that would work, or take a piece of wood lathe and fasten a cross piece on it that would fit or any number of other ideas. The step is very light weight, so it is easy to pick up. You might be able to afix a cord to it also, but I felt typing a cord around the handle would keep the step from completely folding into its proper position and that it might be less secure. so if you think that would be your way to lift it, maybe so, but I'd suggest you also have a backup plan. I may explore some of those other ideas, but I had the extra gate valve rod, and it worked and I needed to go run errands, so off I went to try the steps. It was great! It was the perfect height for me, and all the rest of the plan worked fine. I felt steady and secure using it. I am not even 200 pounds and the seller says it is ok for 300, although I am not sure it felt like it would handle that much weight. I do know I won't leave home without it from now on, and I hope it lasts as long as I do.Obviously, it would also be handy if you are just a little bit too short to reach a kitchen cabinet or change a ceiling light bulb, and the very little space it takes once folded would make it easy to tuck in somewhere handy to the kitchen, and it is so light to carry that I definitely recommend it for this use too.
