This is a very good value especially if you have a high magnification dino light microscope. If you're going to take pictures of coins or coin size objects with a 220x capable dino light, the dino light must be very far from the Object

This isn't any better or worse than the stand that came with my microscope, very similar in fact. The big difference is how high it can go. Looking at small molded plastic parts for work is a requirement for me and this made my microscope much more functional for that purpose.Getting the tilt mechanism tight enough but not too tight is really the only complaint I have.

I am using it to hold a Raspberry Pi HQ camera and I had to modify it to get the card installed. I COULD have taken the camera off the card I guess but that might have caused problems. Anyway, the camera and microscope lens is installed and works great with my Raspberry Pi setup.

Very nice stand! Sturdy and smooth operation. No grinding while raising and lowering. Unfortunately, I cannot use both of these. I am keeping 1 for use with my current scope! The other i cannot use due to the new scopes I ordered will not work with this.

I recently bought an inexpensive digital microscope that turned out to work much better than I ever expected. It seemed perfect to maintain my wife's hearing aids and otoscope. But I needed a good way to hold the microscope and object at the right distance and orientation. The photos show how the otoscope was viewed end on. Its lens is covered with flakes of earwax making its image fuzzy. The stand seems well made and operates smoothly. My only complaint is that thumbscrew that adjusts the resistance of the slide required an additional small washer. After that it worked properly.

Being a mechanical engineer, I'm astounded that such a device can be made and sold for so little money. It's well-engineered and well made. It's very solid (stiff), and any slop in the adjustment can be removed by keeping the screw knob in the back slightly tightened while adjusting the height. Bravo to the people who designed and figured out how to manufacture this!
