Step 1
Apply honing oil or lubricant generously to the abrasive elements on the cylinder wall.
Step 2
Installed the honing tool on a power drill and insert the hone into the cylinder. Maintain a medium drill speed and keep oiled.
Step 3
Regularly stop honing and remove carbon, rust, and hest glaze frompiston cylinder walls.
Step 4
Spread some clean engine oil around the boreto ensure that no rust develops.

I used this hone on a small taotao 107cc when I was rebuilding it. Worked great and was easy to use. Fit the diameter of the engine just fine.

I used this at work on a larger bore and it did great. It wasn't too aggressive and it was easy to use. It's decent quality and for the money it does a great job.

This is a pretty hefty and well build honing tool. It does what it is supposed to do. I have attached several pictures showing before and after conditions of a cylinder that I used the tool on. I honed it for about 1 to 2 minutes. The results can be seen in the pictures.The only thing you need to know is that your drill needs to have some good power to operate the hone. At first I tried one of the lesser battery powered drills and it didn’t have enough torque to spin the hone except for a few seconds before bogging down. The better/heavier AC powered drill fixed that problem.

Got this because I needed to clean up the sleeve walls on my tractor that had a ring rust and get stuck after sitting a while. DIdn't cause much damage, but did enough that it wouldn't run. a few minutes with this in by drill and the sleeve looks new again

This Cylinder Hone Tool appears to be high quality. It has solid 7/16 x 4 inch stones which are perfect for 2 stroke motorcycle cylinders. It has great adjustable tension in the arms. The arms move smoothly as they should. A good addition to the tool kit!

While I'm familiar with using these as engine boring tools to repair scored walls or overboring so you can insert a sleeve to try to restore compression, my need was rather different.I had a PVC project where I needed to mate an aluminium fitting into a PVC fitting and they simply would not play nicely with each other. A tight fit mattered and relying on glue wasn't a great option. I needed them to mate more deeply than I could reach by sanding the inside and I knew I'd never _really_ get it circular by just using the equivalent of a power drill and round sanding to nick it out a few thousandths of a time on each edge. I'd been stumped until I remembered that this class of tool existed.I was able to use a drill press and this cylinder hone to bore out the inside of the PVC wall just over the 3" depth that I needed to insert the aluminum pressed fitting while keeping the hole round enough that I didn't have to deal with it leaking. Perfect!For a plastic application, this is, of course, overkill for a typical sewer pipe, but for the high-pressure project I needed, this was perfect.

It's to flimsy the pads don't even sit right in the cylinder I didn't even get to finish half the job very bad product
