I was using this hone to try and polish a hole on some 1018 mild steel. Stones lasted less than 30 seconds being spun by a cordless drill. I have used other brands many times in the past for the same with no problems.

My part has a 7/8" inside dia. I had to run the tool in a pc of 1 1/4" pipe for 15 min to ware it down to get it in my 7/8" inside dia. part.

It won't go in a bore smaller than 1-1/8 inch. I returned it because I needed it to go inside 7/8 inch. Description says works on 3/4" to 2 1/2" diameter.update: I waited too long to return so I was just out the cost.
