This thing is solid. Looks and works great! However, the packaging needs to be revisited, I don’t know how but there is not a scratch on this thing. The plastic bag containing the hardware was torn open and all the pieces were loose in the box. Package arrived mangled but somehow none of the hardware fell out. Still, this thing is awesome and much cheaper than the similar alternative.

Carrier was not welded together square. Had to do some cutting an grinding to make the locking pin latch into the slot it was intended to sit in. Also was not packaged well. Both ends were partially torn open. Luckily none of the hardware was lost.

I installed the spare tire carrier today if it's nicely under my slide out it has to be down in the lowered position for the side up to fit however it still gives me access to my garage and I can install my bicycle rack behind it or below it. This is installed on a 2016 Mercedes based RV with a 16-in rims. The adjustment I had to make was to oval out the carriers attachment point a little bit so that the latch would go in to its catch point. Other than that it seems like a very sturdy product Don't expect any instructions by the way.

This is heavy duty - for my RV - I made some slight modifications to make it function a bit better but for the price & quality you can’t beat it-

Neighbor sent his back due to a backwards welded part. He had a replacement super fast. These are so heavy.

I used it for my 295/75r22.5 (22.5 inch rim) which weights about 150lbs. The system works good, but i did have to add a 15x15x1/4 aluminum plate to be able to mount it to the rim.

This is a well built knock off to the Etrailer version and much less expensive.

This carrier is built like a tank and also solves the problem of dealing with a heavy spare time. The extendable handle on it provides plenty of leverage to lift the tire into travelling position. Much better than having to crawl under an RV in the rain to get the spare cranked back up into position. Will not disappont!
