Diverter valve failed. Kohler sent a replacement. That didn't work either. Their answer is to send another valve. Now, I have holes in my wall so I'm stuck with this piece of trash.

Installed by a professional plumber with experience with Kohler products. Shower column has a significant leak, seems like a factory defect or design flaw, not something the plumber could fix. From reading other reviews, it seems like this is a common problem.

good product. I ended up returning it for a taller version. But no problems with this one.

This is the second one I have ordered and I love the product. HOWEVER his one did not come with either the elbow or the supply adaptor or any mounting screws. So maybe it had been previously opened???

This looks AMAZING!!!!! It really brought a high-end look to my tiny master bath. I love the rain can & shower handle combo. This bar was a perfect fit & addition to the remodel. It was really easy to install too... There's a u tube video that shows step by step!!!

More than a year ago, after reading all the positives reviews about this shower column I decided to buy it and went to a local Kohler dealer. The installation is pretty easy and you don't have to do any modification to the existing plumbing, but the quality of the shower is really bad, after one year of use by only one person, the diverter (valve) at the base of the column that makes the switch between the hand shower and shower head is broken and the water is coming out at the same time on both ends, I can't believe that I spent more than $700 in all the pieces for this shower (moxie shower head, hose, etc.) and it didn't last a year. The worst thing is that in order to replace the valve (price $3.40 at Kohler) you have to remove the whole shower from the wall because the valve has to be installed from the back. I would never again buy another product from Kohler.

I was tempted by the words 'easy' and 'fast'. Well, if you are handy with the tools I suppose both of those words would apply. I am also guessing that if you were handy, you would know that the easy and fast is because you don't have to mess with the piping, since it sets up to the single pipe already in the walls.I'm not handy. But, I can follow instructions. And while I managed, I should have just phoned a friend. All in all, the results are good. It's the main rail line for a spa like shower. But, for the price and what I thought, (easy, no drill, everything included), I suggest making sure you're the right type for this setup which requires drilling, patience, and picking up the shower heads, hand set and tubing, and making sure they all work together. Or have a handy friend that's happy to do all that for you.

Renovations are the worst. I know we all know this, but I have just lived it, so my advice is: don't do it! But you've probably already decided to, and aren't going to change your mind, and you're considering this hydrorail, so my follow up advice is: go for it!I wanted a really elegant shower and with this hydrorail, a 10-inch rain shower head and an attached hand shower, I got more than I ever expected. As you know, nothing ever goes smoothly with a renovation, and when I finally got down to ordering my fixtures, problem after problem started popping up. In this case, the Ferguson distributor had everything BUT this hydrorail. They had the curved one, but my shower didn't have the 9.75 inch clearance that it required, and this one was on back order. I hopped on Amazon while on the phone with him and found that Kohler is what, basically screwing their distributors by not giving them stock, but having it available to the public? That stinks, and the price on here is higher than the distributor's "contractor price," but when you need a piece, you need it yesterday. I'm grateful that this was available, and came VERY quickly. The rest of the order stayed with the distributor, so all's fair at the end of the day.

This is a nice piece of hardware that looks very good. The diverter faucet for the hand shower feels a bit flimsy, I hope it lasts. Also advise springing for something other than chrome, it stains really easily so if you want it to look good you have to wipe it frequently.
