Hooray I can bathe now! I wasn't able to find this locally and amazon had it here within a few hours of ordering.Install was easy, make sure you lube the orings with the included lube and install the side marked cold on the cold side.

This cartridge can replace a variety of old cartridges. The most difficult step is to ensure that the replacement part is the correct one. I started to remove the assembly to the state shown in the first picture, which confirms that it is gp76851. You could search Kohler gp76851 cartridge replacement for an online help video. Then shut off the water supply. Once there is no water coming out the shower faucet, the old cartridge can be removed. One issue for me is to apply a litte twist of the face plate printed with Kohler name before pulling it away from the cartridge (see the 3rd picture of how the plastic face plate is connected to the mental base). The cold water connection is on the right side and the new part has a cold water label so I align it to the right. I did use extra silicon gel to lubricate all rubber washers. After the replacement, no more dripping water from the shower faucet. It is really easy to do the replacement if you know the replacement steps.

The long version: I had initially order a factory O E part, at a much greater price, which never arrive. So I managed to get a refund for the missing component an ordered a knock off variety which arrived quickly enabling me to make the necessary repairs to the leaking faucet. The parts fit properly and work perfectly. I down rated it 1 star as the factory unit was labeled hot / cold and this one was not, making this a 50/50 chance of being correct, I guessed correctly so it was a winner and I did not have to do the job twice.

The Kohler website has information on identifying specific valves and a helpful video on replacement installation. I have a K304 valve fitting and this kit fit perfectly in my 10-year-old faucet. The PBU was redesigned so it did not look like my old discontinued unit but it fit just fine. The mixer looked identical to my old unit. I would recommend going with genuine Kohler parts vice cheaper imported knock-off units. In either case, this fixed my small leak. The only negative is the kit includes a very small amount of lubricant but I managed to stretch it out. The kit is designed to repair several variants of shower fixtures and you'll have extra washers after the install.

My shower handle started not getting able to regulate temperature. It was either all or nothing and has been getting worse the last few months so I decided to try this repair kit and it worked great. I shut my water off, opened the faucet on the sink below it in the basement to relieve the pressure and remove the water from the line and spraying out. Took about 15 minutes to install and was pretty straight forward. I did need to get more lubricant for the seals though. The little bit that comes with it is a joke. Time will tell how long this one will last. The original was just over 6 years.

Installed only the handle portion of the valve, as I was not able to remove the back portion. It fixed the leaking issue, and the temperature mixer works better than my old valve.If compared with other brands it is a complex valve and also expensive as other brands have life warranty for their valves.

The product arrived in three days. My shower has a constant drip and I only replaced the Rite-Temp mixer and the shower doesn't leak anymore. I ordered both parts just to make sure that I have all the parts incase that the leak doesn't fixed by the Rite-Temp mixer alone. The replacement is straight forward and it should not take more than half an hour. There is an adjustment for reducing the temperature but I didn't touch it because the temperature of the water coming out from my water heater is just fine. It took me longer to replace it because I want to make sure that what I'm doing is right ( I'm not a plumber).

We had a leaking bathtub faucet , went to a hardware store to find out they don’t sell parts for Kohler bathtub faucets, so instead of ordering the parts from their website and wasting a lot more money , we decided to order from Amazon for way cheaper. It’s been about 3 weeks or so and it’s been working perfectly ! No leaks, no sounds of running water like our old parts did. If I can rate more than 5 stars I would. Very easy to install too

The hardest part about installing this is figuring out if this is the correct part for your shower tap or not. Super easy to install. Lots of videos online on how to do. Didn't end up using some of the included parts like the large washers and metal plate. Had a bit of trouble figuring out how to remove the plastic threaded sleeve from my old mixing cap, just needed a good tug. Genuine kohler parts so no worries about fit and quality.
