I was worried I would never find a replacement handle for my 20 year old Kohler cartridge & this one is affordable and comes with several different fittings. Beautiful and works great. Really good pricing.

This needs to be paired with specific Kohler parts - Kohler Part GP876851 (you can amazon this too)I recommend you pull up a video to watch a replacement. You may have to use some of the adapters to get it to fit as well. Temperature control is on the other part, not on this piece. It's a fine handle, good for what I needed. The shower handle trim is plastic also - the handle itself is metal.

After replacing my valve the old trim no longer fit. This item fits the GP77886 cap. The handle is heavy which is nice. The rest of the kit is low end quality, but functional.
