I bought these knee pads to hand clean a long flight of stairs which I must do on my knees and by hand, as my vacuum is too heavy. These knee pads hurt my knees MORE than the stairs did!! They also kept slipping down my pants (slipping off my knees) even though they have a bit of rubber in order to grip pants material so they would not slip. They are terrible. I took them off my calves after four steps! Don’t bother spending the money for these.

I really like having knee pads and these are really good padding. I wish I had gotten them sooner. The pad page is nice and thick and a goid size. They are easy to put on, but I'm having a hard time keeping them up, no matter how tight I put them.

I got these knee pads about five weeks ago. Recently, after putting them on, the Velcro straps come apart rather quickly. They have lost their Velcro stickiness and no longer stay in place.It appears that the felt side of the straps wear down rather quickly, and no longer support the Velcro stickiness.

I like the knee pads. They are easy to put on and easy to adjust the straps. They are great at protecting your knees and keeping them from hurting on dirt, stone or cement surfaces.

These are perfect for playing big samba drums that bash your knees on parade!! They are velcro fastening so easy to adjust for a snug fit over clothing and provide great protection and movement. Have also used roller skating and gardening so seriously multi purpose.

My husband has tried knee protectors before and not found them comfortable. These have lots of padding and he did find them comfortable but he did have a bit of trouble fitting them.Ideally he wants to wear them over jeans, but the jeans needed to be folded over to get a nice snug fit - knee pads are no use if they slip down. He had difficulty getting a good fit, he just couldn't pull the Velcro strap tight enough to keep it reliably in place. Either he needs a lot more practice or he'll need assistance (that would be me) when fitting. The pads are well made with no loose stitching or threads, and there's a lot of padding, I'd say enough to cover pretty much any sized knee. So that's all good.I don't know how they'd be for sport - muscles flex and move, particularly during sport, and even though there are anti-slip silicone bands around the top of the pad, there's nothing around the bottom, so I think there may be a bit of movement.At £11.50 for a pair (as at 13 December 2023) these are well priced knee pads, and certainly worth considering.

Amended review: I have changed to one star. My husband (he isn't particularly heavy) used them for just a few hours for a DIY job and one of the pads (the knee he was kneeling on more) has now flattened and not sprung back, it is squashed looks like it isn't going to recover. This and my original review detailing how the pads sit too high on the knee made me decide to change the rating.Firstly, double fastening knee pads are so much better than those with a single strap which cuts into the back of your knees, with these the straps sit in much more comfortable positions on your leg. They are very lightweight compared to the old ones I have, however these are not gel pads or as heavy duty with plastic over the knee pad which will explain that. I wonder if the absence of a plastic covering over the pad will result in wet knees, but we shall see. The straps can be done up tight, as they are velcro (hook part) all around the front, so good for anyone with skinny legs. The silicone strips that run along the inside at the top are good for helping to keep the pad in place. I would say though that the actual pads sit a little high on my knees when the straps are fastened in a comfortable place, and I need to push the knee pads down to get the pad in the right place for kneeling down. The listing photos actually show how they sit a bit high. The price is fair and time will tell how long they last.
