very affordable. Brush hair product not the best,. Used several times ,hairs falling out of brush. I did get a brush holder. Variety in size is not very varied. I’m using for a class, and learning the strokes. If I go forward and do any serious work I’ll probably get better brushes. Using in daily journaling they are fine! They look and feel wonderful to hold.

Part of why I ordered this set of brushes was because it included the brush holder. Today it came without the holder which is figured prominently in all of Knana ads and then I find out this set is NOT eligible for service. I do not recommend this company. The brush tips are much larger than the photo leads you to believe. I'm returning them.

I needed these for a specific project and most of the decent ones I looked at also cost a decent price, and since I only needed them for one project I thought I would give these a try. They are well-made and come in a nice little package that can be used to store them. The brush works quite well too.

This is a great set of calligraphy brushes for writing or painting/drawing. All of the marks in my photo except the salt shaker drawing were made with one charge of calligraphy ink with the medium sized brush. These seem to be natural bristles, no written info came with the product.A few notes on proper brush prep and care: they arrived with a stiffening agent added to protect the bristles before they are received by the user. Soak in hot water to release the slimy agent (often corn starch) and rinse until the slimy feeling is gone. Before each use of the brush condition the bristles by gently swiping it back and forth gently with water on the hand for about one minute to wet all the inner bristles so the ink can reach all the bristles. After washing with natural real soap, rinse and form the bristles back into the proper pointed shape. There is a fabric loop at the end, which is intended to help you hang the brush during drying so that the water can drip downward off the bristles to prevent water from going up into the ferrule or up into the brush handle. These actions will create quality writing or art making and will prolong the life of the brush (by preventing unnecessary damage).I am an artist and an art teacher using these at home to paint with ink on paper. What a low price for this set!
