Ive used these and Mann filters for my BMW e46. I buy 2 or 3 at atime and which ever are cheaper. I change my oil/filter every 5-7k. These filters work fine. Make sure you put them in carefully they are a tad tighter than Mann filters. I fit them to the filter cap and then screw it on slowy!!! But when replacing they were never twisted like some people say.

The filter fits and filters, but upon removal both times I used it, the filter was twisted. Bmw has a service bulletin I believe about using aftermarket filters. When they twist like that, they can break apart and cause damage. Be careful.

It fit. It filters the oil. K&N filters tend to err on the side of high flow for performance reasons and there are more restrictive filters that filter better. This is a perfectly good choice. For my money, I match the oil filter to the oil manufacturer and now buy Mobil 1 filters to run with my Mobil 1 oil. There is a lot of debate about which filter is best but K&N makes a quality product. If you want to spend the money this is a fine choice.
