It's unique design permits the two 90 degree inlet and outlet ports to be rotated. This simplifies hose and fitting connections for all applications. It is machined from billet aluminum and comes with all necessary hardware and O-Ring seals.

Heavy, solid, well built. Doesn’t leak like those other crappy cast adapters. I wasn’t sure if it would fit between the block and steering box, but fits nicely. It’s a tight fit, so it’s best to unbolt the steering box, install the adapter, and then reattach the steering box. Installed on a 5.0l, swapped into a 1990 Ranger.

Clockable, no brainer to install, too expensive, but you pay for the best...with Canton...you get better than the rest. Not a mistake here.

I love the idea of this product and it looks great. Now, if I could only stop it from leaking.

This solved a problem I was having with a less well built unit.Pro:Two oil rings and one gasket seal well. The design allows the unit to tighten without twisting the gasket against the block. The unit can be clocked 360 degrees to find the best angle for the hose attachment.Con:1 1/2 inch socket or wrench requiredNo instructions so no torque information provided. I installed to just past snug and had no leaks. I guess my thought was it needed to be about the same tightness an oil filter would be. You can always hit it a bit more if you do get a leak.Suggestion:Clean and oil the gasket and block surface just as you would installing an oil filter. Also oil all the internal gaskets as they rub against the brass internal shaft.Take care to note which passage is the inlet and which is the outlet so you attach your hoses in the proper orientation.I used Loctite 592 sealant and Loctite Klean 'N Prime on threads. This is a high temp pressurized oil connection and Loctite 567 did not hold up.

The oil filter on our Perkins 4-236 was mounted horizontally, so when you removed the old filter it was a leaky mess. And if wanting to prefill the filter with fresh oil, well forget it. The filter is now mounted vertically and in a much easier to access location. A great mod for a clean bilge and a cleaner oil change.

this product is really built. it is solid and strong, unlike a flimsy cast aluminum adapter. I'm still in the building state and haven't had the opportunity to test it on the road, but its construction and design make me believe that it will perform well
