But gaskets was fresh and inside a separate package oil filter was new and no problem but box was crushed so

This is far better than other brands. I use this for my B7 A4 and it works so well for me. I do pair it with LiquMolly and I do change service the oil every 5K so try these and make sure to do your service accordingly. If you drive hard then maybe change your oil every 3-4K with this filter and give your car some love and yourself some peace of mind!

I’ve used the k&n oil filters for a dozen oil changes and they work just as good as the rest of em and for a better price. Not only that but the red color makes you feel like you’re putting something very special in. It comes with 2 different kinds of seals for 2 different style housings. So make sure you put on the right one! I tried using the other style, just to see if it would get a tighter fitment.. NOPE. Oil will escape through the cap hardcore. Take my word for it. Use the same style o-ring that came off the housing cap!

I have been changing oil and oil filter on my daughter's Jetta for several years. This chore is not very difficult if you drive the car up on ramps or otherwise elevate the front end to fit yourself underneath. K&N have a good reputation and I am willing to give them a pass on this filter - I don't have any way to compare their filter with others that I have used. Given that my ability to differentiate them is limited, I like K&N as much as the more expensive brands.

Does exactly what you would expect an oil filter to do, but at the same cost as a standard filter looks a bit nicer (not that I ever see it ;)) and if the description is correct should be a marginal improvement.

This is a great product and well-made in the USA. It comes with all the needed gaskets for your oil change and seems to be better than the Mann OEM which feels cheaply made and made in Mexico. The Mann is completely paper and not as strudy or regid as the K&N. The K&N looks like it seals better because of the rubber on bother ends which seal the filter shut so contaminants will not bypass it. High flow so your oil pressure will be higher good for your oil pump will last longer - think of a straw in water and in a thick low-flow slurpy. Which will tire you out more? Bottom line: for the price and quality compared to others go with a brand that is TRUSTED!
