Great device that works great once you get a hang of it. After figuring it out and repeatedly unclogging the removable disk, I was able to make a large amount of Gnocchi very quickly!

The design is frustrating to use. The basket and disks are both separate parts and when ricing potatoes they stick and pull out of the mechanism every time you re-open to reload potatoes.

I used this to make mashed potatoes. It definitely works and got all the lumps out. The only thing I didnt like about it is the potatoes squeezed through the top and potatoes kept getting stuck on the top. Other then that it worked great! I'll use it again!

It does a fantastic job at mashing potatoes, but it works well on tons of other stuff too. My primary motivation for purchasing this ricer was more for making my own baby food. I'm not there to see what goes on behind the scenes at the the Gerber and Beechnut factories, so I dont trust them. Can you blame me with all the recalls that have been going on lately? The Boar's Head recall? The recent precooked chicken recall that affected hundreds of brand name products? The supermarket aisles aren't safe no more, and I'm not willing to put my baby at risk. Now I can monitor exactly what my baby is consuming and I can sleep at night. I cook everything in my instant pot to get it soft and then get busy with this ricer. It feels incredibly sturdy and premium, like a buy it for life quality. The extrusion process is effortless and the handles are ergonimically designed and positioned to make it so. The cup, plates, and handle can all be separated for easy cleanup and sterilization in my instant pot pressure cooker. Oh, and it's fantastic for making your own fruit juices, like orange, lemon, and lime. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality ricer that's built to last at a fantastic price. I think it's the best deal on Amazon for a potato ricer.
