I installed this mail box carrier in the winter with the only problem being my physical strength in driving screws through plastic. Phillips head screws are hard to install at my 80 year old strength. The product is physically easy to install for the most part. My post was slightly deformed, but product design healed all. The mail carrier was pleased. Sighting the post challenged my geometry, but but final result was well within the expected spec's.

If you want something that's going to really stand out, and have the Joneses keeping up with you for a change, this mailbox holder will impress. It's highly unlikely your existing mailbox will fit on it, so you will likely have to buy another mailbox too. This post, while insanely tall, looks a little less pretentious than Kingsley Park's Atherton mailbox holder. It's all molded one color so maybe I will add a glaze to add some more realistic dimension to it.It fits together easily and can install over an existing 4x4 only if it's not leaning over. Most mailboxes lean after a while, so if you have an older one with that problem or if your existing mailbox already protrudes out to the street, you may have to sink another pole. Take a minute and some measurements.I'm excited to bolt a little hook on the back for a small solar light.

I see that they have updated the listing for this item. When I ordered it was described as being made of wood. It is made of plastic. This basically functions as a post sleeve. Not incredibly difficult to install, given that you have a post installed already bear in mind the height of the post will correlate with the height of the install, you may have to cut some off of the top of the post to get it to fit. All in all a decent build. What I didn't like was the inability to move the mailbox. My USPS person is very picky about the height of the mailbox, and wants it within regulation. Keep this in mind when ordering.
