Couldn't use it as a mailbox but did make a dandy boat anchor after I filled it was concrete

This base comes in 2 peices that there afraid to show since they cover it up with the decorative plastic that will probably dry rot in the florida sun in less than 2 years, the 2 peices are Fasten together with three screws, Is mine constantly wobbles When opening the mail box, I added to self typing screws and it still wobbles. Use american grown pressure treated wood and you'll have no problems.

Perhaps it is my fault, but I thought via advertising this is galvanized would make the whole thing metal. It turns out just the post is metal, all the bumpy out parts at the bottom and that hold the mailbox are plastic. I did not bother returning it, it is just sitting in my basement for me to decide what I might do with it.

The install went fine, it looks fine, there are no functional problems with the post. HOWEVER...If I had to buy it again I wouldn't. The pole comes in two pieces which is a bit ridiculous given the total overall length. No matter how you secure the two pieces together there's still a bit of "play" between them which is obviously not ideal when you're doing something ridiculous or really unusual like, I don't know... trying to level the post...The plastic base also screws together very awkwardly. It can be done don't get me wrong, but it was rather annoying when using a screwdriver to screw it together wasn't working very well and I had to break out a battery powered one with a bit of torque to it.
