Product Description

Kinesio Tex Gold FP – ReEvolution-ary Muscle & Joint Support Tape

athletic tape

Developed exclusively for Kinesio professionals. Backed by research and development since the early 1970’s, Kinesio continues to make advancements in technology that continues the ReEvolution and fulfills the original vision; Taping the World for Health. The famous wave pattern provides enhanced and patented Fingerprint [FP] technology and patented Nano Touch stimulation to the epidermis and superficial layers of the skin. Kinesio Tex Gold FP mimics a gentle human touch while providing a Micro-grip deep set adhesive, applied during the manufacturing process, resulting in improved grip and hold with less adhesive surface area.

Kinesio Tex Gold FP is a super thin athletic tape that is approximately the same thickness and the elasticity of skin and muscles. Our taping technique is based on the body's own natural healing process and works to activate the neurological and circulatory systems. With an improved cotton weave – that employs FingerPrint (FP), Nano-touch and Micro-grip technologies – Kinesio Tex Gold FP provides a full range of motion, support and stability, without adversely affecting the natural range of motion.

Kinesio Tex Gold FP sport and medical tape is designed for a 30-40% longitudinal-only stretch that lifts the skin and provides soreness, edema and inflammation relief, as well as support for surrounding soft tissue – without restricting range of motion. Our elastic therapeutic tape is hypoallergenic and latex-free, and utilizes high-grade cotton that can be worn continuously for 3-5 days for maximum effectiveness. Our heat-activated, medical-grade acrylic adhesive is made of porous material that allows the skin under the tape to breathe and helps moisture dissipate quickly, allowing it to withstand sweating, showering and swimming.

The Kinesio Taping Association highly recommends that you consult a CKTP (Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner) prior to applying Kinesio Tex Tape.

About Kinesio Tape

Dr. Kenzo Kase is an American-trained chiropractor, best known as the inventor of Kinesio Tex Tape and the Kinesio Taping Method. Elastic therapeutic tape has become a common modality in rehabilitation, and it started with Dr. Kase. Dr. Kase recognized the need for a new approach in the 1970s when he was observing and treating rheumatoid arthritis patients. Forty years later, his method has changed how rehabilitation is practiced.

Don’t buy the off brands. They just don’t stick as well. Worth the $ to buy this original. Sticks well to dry, clean skin. Round the corners! Love this tape. Wonderful to purchase in a nice big roll. Use it with my injury recovery clients.

I had switched to Rock Tape for years of working with athletes, but honestly, this is the best tape. There is less reaction to the adhesive and the cotton is just more comfortable. It does not have the immediate adhesiveness as Level 3 Rock Tape, but if you tape a half hour before sweat happens it is just as good.I forgot how comfortable this tape is.Pro tip: For removal, I keep a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol on me. Saturate the tape, and the adhesive is broken down so it can be removed without pain.

I bought this giant roll of K tape after my PT recommended it to me. She said that this brand, in BLACK, sticks the best to areas of the body where the K tape may fall off more easily, like areas where the tape needs to contour & go over areas like an ankle, under a foot, etc.I use the K tape for me for LYMPHEDEMA & it works VERY well! It causes a DRAMATIC improvement in my leg, foot, ankle, leg, & thigh swelling. For lymphedema I cut the tape into strips, while leaving an area at the one end where the strips are all connected (the anchor point of the tape section) to help the lymph flow. The way I cut the tape to achieve these strips was taught to me by my PT with several years & levels of MLD training. I cut a strip the desired length, fold it in half lengthwise, cut down the lengthwise fold all but about an inch or two from one end to leave an anchor point & stabilize the thinner strips, then cut the 2 lengthwise strips in half which results in 4 strips connected to the anchor point/ end of the strip, slightly round the edges of all the corners, then I stick the anchor part to my upper thigh or by my ankle, & then carefully stick the thin strips diagonal across my thigh or across my foot towards my toes. My PT told me NOT to stretch the tape when using it for lymphedema, unlike when using K Tape for injuries. We also use it on blisters, slivers, etc. to promote healing per our doctor's advice. She told one of my kids (in the health field) to put it on a blister that was hurting her, & it took away the pain she had and she was able to work on her feet ALL DAY with zero pain.We also use it to give support to our hypermobile joints, as well as when we twist those hypermobile joints, & between our shoulders/up the back of our necks to give posture support & to remind us to self correct/stand straight. This is the brand recommended by our chiropractors, PTs, LMT, etc. & we are VERY pleased with it.We can SHOWER with it on & either pat it dry after or blow dry it gently, & it stays for about a week before it really falls off. It lasts even longer when we use it in full strips, & don't cut it into thinner strips, like when I use it on my feet & thighs for lymph flow. When it is cut into thinner strips it is easy for the tape edges to get caught on my lymhpedema wraps/Tubigrip, & socks. If I am careful, I can get the most wear out of it by trimming just a little of the loose ends off if they get snagged on my compression garments.I RECOMMEND this tape & will PURCHASE it again.

I use this for my knee/leg mostly, and have encouraged others to try it. I also used it on my wife when she was having problems with her foot and ankle. There are a few good videos out there that show how to apply the tape for various problems. This tape was recommended by my PT, and after trying a couple other brands, I found this one to be the best, last the longest, not roll up as bad, and buying in bulk really saves money. The other thing that I like about Kinesio tape is the lymphatic system help that it creates. After personal experience, talking with a few different PTs, and my lymphatic system massage therapist, I discovered that there is a move away from the days of cast-like wrapping of injuries. Also, for my particular injury, deep tissue massage right on the affected area was not possible, nor helpful.

This is our go-to tape and we buy it in the large size because it works so well. KT Tape and the other stuff just wouldn't stay on like this stuff will. It's important to apply this tape properly to get the maximum benefit (read the instructions and discuss with your PT/chiropractor for optimal use). I also recommend the black, as it seems to stick the best.Pros:- It will easily last several days if applied properly (clean the skin and make sure you don't have any lotions on, don't touch the tape itself, etc.).- The big roll allows you to create your own sizes vs. the pre-sized strips, which minimizes waste.- It really helps with injured areas. I've used it for hamstrings and feet troubles and my husband has used it for calf issues. (We're runners).Cons: (no major ones I can think of)Yes, it seems expensive, but don't go for the cheaper stuff because you'll end up throwing your money out when the tape falls off less than 10 minutes after putting it on. You pay for what you get, and the Gold is quality.

As a former professional figure skater I had torn ligaments in my ankle in 1980. I had zero physical therapy and ended up with a weak ankle. Years of step class, high impact aerobics, dancing, kickboxing took a toll and I tore the same ligaments a second time. I have a big build up of scar tissue and swelling. A bulky ankle brace was the only solution. I had seen the tape on athletes for years. I needed to go to a red carpet event and since I coul not wear the brace with my shoes my chiropracter suggested taping my ankle with kinesio tape. It worked like a charm! TKept the swelling down, I had zero pain and was able to wear my beautiful shoes! After that I started buying the tape from Amazon and had my chiropracter teach me some of the taping methods. (Which are specific per injury). My only complaint was the tape coming off too soon. I would wear a sock over it in bed. It was a meanace on my yoga mat, where it would roll. Since I discovered the Mueller Tuffner Pre-Tape Spray, the tape stays on longer.
