About this item

  • Handle features assisted opening, locking frame and reversible pocket clip
  • 3.7” Serrated blade made of 8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel featuring excellent edge retention, wear resistance and toughness, finished with a black-oxide blade coat
  • Pure steel handle with comfortable in-hand feel finished with a matte gray titanium carbo-nitride coating
  • Steel handle is contoured for comfortable and secure grip
  • Measures 8.4 inches opened, 4.5 inches closed. Weighs 5.3 ounces, a heavier knife.

The Grid's blade is a modified drop-point, but it’s cut so that it almost resembles a tanto. This provides a strong tip for practicalities like piercing, yet the blade also has enough belly to offer excellent slicing capabilities. Quality 8Cr13MoV blade steel means long-lasting edge retention, strength, and hardness. The handle is pure steel—with a handsome grey titanium carbo-nitride coating.

Excellent quality pocket knife. I have maybe 30 pocket knives. This one could be the best.....Very sharp and good quality knife....

Thin, light weight, flips open smoothly and closes. Great knife.

I keep this in my pocket for work. Work oil field construction so it can certainly take a beating. Great knife, with a nicely shaped blade. The edge holds well, had it for about 7 months and haven't had to sharpen it yet. Thinking about getting a second for carrying at home. Unless I decide to spend quite a bit more for the Blur Magacut, this knife will be my first choice.

I love this knife. Had it for two years. And I’ve put it through a gauntlet. Still going strong. Not a perfect knife. But for the price it’s great. I’ve used it for whittling, I’ve used it on HVAC jobs, cutting through tape, insulation, rubber and all manner of materials. I always carry it with me no matter where I go. It’s not the best knife in the world. It’s not the most famous knife in the world. The handle’s smoothness lacks the grip one might often want. But as far as a general edc goes, I’ve really enjoyed the knife and it’s got a special place in my heart. Also… Many many many cardboard boxes have been felled.

Great everyday carry, durable with a nice weight and comfortable metal handle. I haven't had to sharpen it for a long time and I've only sharpened it once, and people at work comment on how it cuts like butter. The clip on it has not failed and I've never had it fall out of my pocket. You'll never catch me outdoors without it in the corner of my back right pocket.

For $30, it’s a real good pocket knife. It’s got good weight and feel in the hand. However, it does not come sharp. I had to run it through a sharpener, which wasn’t the end of the world. My other gripe about it is the orientation of the clip. It’s upside down in my pocket and when I pull it out, it’s not readily able to be opened. I have to reorient it in my hand and then I can flip it open. It does flip open nicely and the blade is real nice. Do not expect this to be a quick draw knife, but it is an above average EDC knife for $30!

I bought this to replace a smaller 3.25" everyday carry. I found myself wanting a larger knife on several occasions, mostly for comfort and 3.7" seems to be my sweet spot. I have large size hands and I love how this knife feels in them, it's comfortable and has a very nice solid feel with a non slippery matte finish that doesn't show fingerprints. The finger guard is the same point where you flick it to open the blade and it stands out nice to prevent finger slippage onto the blade and I think it was well designed. The clip is well made and doesn't scratch my hands when I reach into my pocket. I've been carrying and using Kershaw knives for many years, they're great for everyday use and very affordable. I've spent $300+ on other knives and it's always a gut punch when I lose one, so for this price, I can lose it and order another without it being such a big deal. I also really like the shape of the blade, it's similar to the Kershaw Leek design and I've always been a fan. I can recommend this knife based on my previous years with Kershaw knives, this one is still pretty new and time will tell how it holds up but it should last many many years.

I own a few Kershaw knives and have been pleased with the quality of their products. The Cryo 2 is one of my frequent edc carries and I think it is a high quality knfe for the price. I rate the Grid 2200 as being as good a knife as the Cryo 2 The Grid 2200 is a very good knife and here are its pluses:- very sharp out of the box- blade is centered and has no play- it is relatively thin and light for such a large folder- opening is smooth and strong- left/right clip option (I know some have complained about there not being clip hole drilled for left side carry, but maybe those were early productions)- a nice looking knife- very good knife for the priceI do wish it had a lanyard hole, but I can live without it. I find metal frames are too slippery for secure pocket retrieval and handing. I remedy this by using GT-5000 friction tape on the handles. I first did this on my early edition Spyderco Police model years ago. It has worked well on all knives I have felt needed it.For the people complaining about lost/loose screws, good knife maintenance includes regular inspection of the screws and using Loctite blue on those that repeatedly come loose.
