A knife that’s dressed for success.
At first glance, it could be mistaken for a pen tucked into a shirt pocket. And that’s exactly the way the CEO Flipper folding knife was designed. With a supremely low profile and no corners cut on usability and ergonomics, it embodies the working spirit of everyday carry.
Known for his clean, simple, highly-usable designs, Richard Rogers releases another formidable knife from his shop in the scrubby hills of Magdalena, New Mexico. Created with dress shirt pockets and v-neck scrubs in mind, the slim, low-profile CEO Flipper poses as a pen until a sealed letter needs opening or a suit needs a finishing touch. With lubed ball bearings in the pivot to reduce friction, a prominent flipper sets IKBS in motion, smoothly deploying the satin-finished stainless steel blade. A locking liner keeps it securely in place between the sleek and strong glass-reinforced nylon handle.
The CEO: pairs best with an extra dark roast and a long to-do list.

Fits well in the hand and the pocket. Easy to open with one hand, holds and edge well and sharpens easily. I bought a similar CRKT model also and I like both of the them. Recommended.

A great little knife for every day use. Got me back into EDC'ing a knife since it is so unobtrusive. Well worth the price!!

The knife is everything I expected and I was not expecting it to be personal protecting weapon or heavy use knife . It’s great for small jobs like Letter opening, cutting food on your plate or other light jobs. I have a large hand and still find it easy to use. The flipper is as fast as a switch blade if you know how to use it. It locks firmly and is easy to unlock if you are right handed. I accept the fact that I am left handed in a right hand world, with regards to the blade locking system. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars. Is the blade could have been a little sharper. But that’s still an easy fix. Overall I am very happy with this CRKT knife which I own several other types of CRKT knives!

CRKT puts out quality products, and this knife is no exception. A great EDC pocket knife with a minimalist profile.

I have a bunch of other knives but honestly, most days I don't need one. If in working in the yard or whatever, different story, I carry a different chunkier knife. 6/7 days this know does what I need and takes up WAY less space in my pocket. Good for dress clothes too; black, high clip, very happy with it.

Bought the CEO Blackout a few months ago and have to say that "I LOVE THIS KNIFE!"Slick, elegant and incredibly-fun to fidget with, the CRKT CEO "Gentleman's blade" fits the bill when it comes to carrying knives in situations and places where more obvious blades wouldn't be appropriate. When I first got my CEO, it was awkward because I'd never had a flipper, it deployed stiffer than I thought it would and the liner-lock is so subtle that I found it hard to close, once it was open. However, after a few drops of gun oil on the pivot point and actually using the knife on a regular basis, it's now a JOY to use! It opens and closes like butter and, though it doesn't arrive super-sharp, is very easy to sharpen and holds a razor-sharp edge extremely well! And the Blackout's ebony blade just looks COOL on this knife! 😄If you're not a big "knife person" — and even if you are — I highly recommend the CRKT CEO. It's a great EDC blade and I look forward to using it for years to come.

This is a beautiful knife. Unfortunately, there is no way to make the blade downward pointing when using the pocket clip. Apressure in my pocket on the opening tab exposed the upward pointing blade point, and I stabbed myself the first time I reached in my pocket to remove the knife. The point is VERY, VERY sharp. Ouch! As a secondary matter, I found it difficult to operate the liner lock lever to close the blade with only the right hand.

A very sleek profile, just what I wanted. Being LH I appreciate the reversible clip. Other manufacturers--providing similar but lower priced knives here on Amazon--might make better use of this. The opening is stiff only until you do it right. While flip knives from Kershaw, etc, open at a flick of the lever this one responds to more of a downward sliding motion over the lever. It's got jimping to supply sufficient friction. As far as the comment by another user claiming that two handed opening isn't an option... a slight press on the lever will pop the blade open just enough that one can manually open the blade to attain less "aggressive" deployment. The clip is minimal which is nice as it makes it less noticeable. It doesn't seem to affect a secure place in pocket but I'll update if that changes. Slight concern with the small liner lock but I don't plan on stabbing car doors and I think it will be sufficient as it holds fine to a firm spine whack test. The blade has very slight horizontal wiggle when open--much less than I feared it would from the design. This might be made even less with a slight tightening but I haven't tried that as I'm happy with how it is. Overall a good value and, again, just what I was looking for. Were it $100 knife I'd give it 4 stars. At half that I give it 5.
