We bought the KEN BROWN 12-Inch Shutter Exhaust Fan for our house, and it works perfectly fine! The installation was easy, especially with the included 1.65-meter power cord kit, and it runs quietly but powerfully. It does an excellent job of ventilating our space, keeping the air fresh and reducing humidity.The 1800 CFM high-speed airflow is impressive, and the aluminum shutters open and close smoothly. It’s built sturdy and durable, making it a great choice for attics, sheds, or even a garage.For the price, this fan is a great investment—efficient, well-built, and works just as expected. Highly recommend! ✅

So far very satisfied with the fan easy to install it's quite and seems to have helped when my attic moisture problems would recommend this exhaust fan to anyone who is looking for a attic fan.

I installed the fan in my wood shop. I really like the engineering effort that was put into the manufacture. The frame is so rigid you would have to work pretty hard to twist it out of alignment. The louvers work easily and close tightly. The fan guard is also the mounting for the fan motor and the guard is isolated from the frame with rubber grommets and that setup works really good- you can put one hand on the guard and the other on the frame and there's essentially no vibration transmitted to the frame at any speed. The fan blade seems well balanced although I would have preferred a stiff steel fan blade to cut down on the harmonics when the fan is running wide open. But steel fan blades are hard to find nowadays. Just a sign of the times I guess. So I'm knocking off one star for the noise at high speed. But I find if I run it at a moderate speed it's plenty quiet. One more thing and in retrospect it's probably overkill but I used 1/4" lag bolts and 1-1/2" fender washers over wide rubber bushings to mount the fan frame to my studs. You get to decide, but I consider it cheap insurance against vibration transmitting to the wall.

After reviewing several exhaust fans, I chose this because of rated air flow. After installing, I was expecting to be blown away but sadly disappointed. Compares to a box fan on low. Barely enough force to open shutters. It is very quiet as there is nothing turning fast enough to make any noise. I’ll install a speed controller to try and get a little more goody out of it. It is a heavy duty fan. Just not enough huff n puff to blow the pigs house down.The shipper stood behind their product and worked quickly resolve the issue. I would like to think I received a lemon because the fan is heavy duty and design is exactly what I was looking for.

I appreciate that the fan mounts with rubber isolators and that it runs in balance. Getting it 1/2-price for Cyber Monday makes it an awesome value. The low noise level is important for the interior application I'm using it for. What I don't like is the speed controller that allows very little adjustment. Some TRIAC speed controllers have an adjustment trimmer inside to set the lowest allowable voltage, but this one does not. Fortunately, this fan works very well with a normal speed control, easily running at less than 1/2 of full speed with no noticeable varying of speed.EDIT: I noticed occasional "ringing" tone in the fan while using a TRIAC type dimmer. Switching to a series capacitor is very effective with no noise at all. In fact, I have one of these on a standard ceiling fan 4-speed wall switch now and it works great. I have not opened that switch to see what capacitor values are used, but I have another one on a 4uF and that seems to put it at about 1/2-speed.

The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the shutters don't open up all the way. I need to open them fully by hand. Then they don't fully close so I need to manually do that. The fan itself is awesome.
