These knifes are, quite ironically, the best flatware in our collection. For anyone who does not understand stainless steel, you want flatware with 18/8 or 18/10, which is the chromium ratio. If you look carefully at a piece of flatware, you can often see its ratio printed somewhere. For most common tableware it is 18/0. That means that your flatware will show minor signs of rust. Whereas the chances of that are slim with a higher ratio of chromium. It also feels different, which is strange. All that said, these knives are great for all kinds of spreads like butter, jam, or soft cheeses.

These are great knifes for spreading butter. The curved blade is actually more ergonomic in my opinion, and it makes it easier to spread both warm and cold butter.

These are good quality and accurately described butter knives. They came packaged securely in individual bags. The knives are sturdy metal, shiny, and look classy and beautiful. Work as suggested and look very nice.

I got these spreaders to go with the Keawell Louise stainless silverware place settings. Their nicely textured handles provide a comfortable grip, while the polished blades make them ideal for easily spreading butter, jam, cream cheese, or pâté. Even if you're not hosting formal dinners but just enjoying casual breakfasts, these spreaders add a touch of class and fun.

I've never had actual butter knives (heathen, I know), so I was excited to add these to my hammered flatware set (from a different brand)... They are indeed very elegant looking, but the part you hold is really quite thin and insubstantial. That isn't to say it's uncomfortable to hold -- they tapered and rounded it off toward the edges to a sufficient degree... But still, I just thought I'd mention it. I could imagine some equating 'lightweight' with 'cheap', so take the info for what you will.. I googled butter knives to see what others offer, and it looks like these are thinner than others, and yet the price is on the middle/higher end of what I saw... I felt I couldn't give the full five stars because of that. Still, they're very attractive and make you feel a bit fancier while buttering your toast. Overall, I'm happy with them ~!

I bought these because they go with the silverware that we got as a wedding present, but TWO of them ended up going to work with my husband! He repairs band instruments, and found that this was just the right shape and angle for one of the things he needs to do there. He showed another repair technician and HE liked it so much that my husband brought another one to work and gave it to him! "Who really needs 4 butter knives" he says LOL
