Never thought I'd appreciate "butter knives" until we started setting out dips and spreads and realized that size and space matter, smaller broad-bladed, DULL (meaning safe for kids hitting the buffet table) were the ticket and I couldn't be happier with these. The polished stainless is smooth, cleans easily and is the right angle and offset so you can be spreading toppings on bread or a cracker lying on a plate. You don't have to be holding and balancing everything. These are elegant and a great addition to serving sets.

Pleased with the quality. Good weight. Just the finishing touch I needed for dinner parties.

This is an attractive and well made set of butter knives. The metal is a polished (shiny) stainless steel, and a very sturdy metal that will not bend on its own. It is nice to have butter knives on hand as they are intentionally angled/bent to easily scrape or slice-off some butter from the butter dish, and spread it on bread, etc. The handle has a flat, squared-off end, and is a pretty close match to my Henckels flatware set.

No rusting after dozens of runs through the dishwasher. Smooths soft spreads so easily, and can shave thin curls of cold spread (butter from the fridge) easily. Leave those curls on the bread for a second and then spread - nice and easy. The unique design allows for keeping the insides of the peanut butter jar clean too.

I have 4 butter dishes, so one knife for each on the Thanksgiving table. Perfect!

I wanted some butter knives since they work very differently than regular flatware knives. It's much easier to spread things on bread because they work like small offset spatulas. These are a nice quality and I only needed a few for daily use.

I didn't know how useful these were until recently. I thought I'd give these a try over my standard Oneida butter knives until recently. On first impression these look great.- They have no teeth and are smooth so can only be used for spreading and not cutting.- Very handy for spreading butter/jam on toast while leaving it flat on plate; no need to pick up your toast. The bent/off center handle is just enough space for your hand to hold the knife with the blade flat against the toast for spreading.- Took me a bit to get used to picking up the butter with the bottom half of the knife that's facing down. Instinctively I was picking it up with the side facing up as that's what I would normally do with a standard butter knife.- I like that they are shorter than a standard butter knife. Their shape and size also helps them stay on a plate when using to spread a soft cheeses like brie or goat. My standard Oneida butter knives have a tendency to slip off when leaned on the edge of plates. So far I find these get used most often for spreading soft cheeses. While sturdy, these don't seem as sturdy as my standard butter knives. I could tell that the handles would bend if I applied a significant enough force. While I would ever apply such an amount of force while spreading butter on toast, I do have 2 teenagers, one of which has used kitchen utensils and appliances for non-standard purposes. My blender has never been the same since it was used to make paper.
