  • Replacement Sacrificial Anode: Zinc anode should be examined periodically and replaced if it shows significant deterioration. It Protects unit from corrosion and electrolysis when in good condition.
  • Maximum Kasco Efficiency: Check propeller for wear or damage and replace if necessary. This Replacement zinc anode is best for 1/2 HP-1 HP fountain, surface aerator, circulator, and de-icers.
  • Easy Installation: First Remove old anode after removing propeller by turning counter-clockwise. Now place both halves of new anode around propeller shaft with large end of anode down. Space bottom of new anode at least the thickness of a nickel above Kasco motor top and firmly secure both mounting screws with a 9/64” Allen wrench.
  • Kasco’s replacement sacrificial anode will fit any Kasco unit with a 1/2 inch shaft. Sacrificial anodes are used to help prevent your equipment from corrosion and electrolysis
  • Kasco Recommendation: Kasco recommends replacement of zinc anodes every year or sooner if anode is more than 50% depleted or if white in color. The anode should be checked at least every two to three months.

This Kasco brand zinc is much better than the cheaper no name zincs.

Exact replacement for the one that came on the aerator. What you need to know about Zincs is that when they go away, they are doing their job. New Zinc, new hardware and easy installation. Removing the old unit was the thoghest part.
