I like this umbrella because it covers a lot of my deck and Once you sit outside, there’s plenty of shade as the sun goes down in the east

This definitely does the job of weighing down the umbrella stand, but it takes up a ton of space. I feel like we are always tripping over it.

Light weight until filled can be water or sand and water was easier. Installed very easy and heavy enough.

It's just a weight, but a weight with a purpose. It has been holding the umbrella very steady. Be forewarned though, depending on the sand being used, it may take a full 200 lbs. of sand. I used play sand because of the price and it took all 4 bags @50 lbs./bag. Also, I would not suggest using water, water is going to get nasty even if the plug is sealed. I wouldn't want to be the one to empty and refill it if it's been in there a long time. Plus, you have to be concerned with winter and freezes. Sand isn't an issue.
