They haven't had to resist snake bites - but they have already helped resist stickers and if that is all they do, it is enough. The material is tough and the design simple. I anticipate they will last for decades.

They are heat retaining so not comfortable in severe heat but beats a Rattler bite.

I bought these after encountering a timber rattler in my garden. Have used them for a few months and I feel well protected when I work around the farm and garden now. They don't interfere with working at all, don't even know they're there. However, in the summer, your calves will really sweat under them, so pants are soaked in the area when you take the gaiters off. Small price to pay for the added security they provide.

I live in Panama these are a must when clearing brush daily, I don’t go into the jungle without them.Design is flawed tho, buckles should be on the outside not the inside where they cling together, also the under foot strap clap gave out 1 week after buying, I simply cut the strap and installed 550 cord problem solved.Other than that they’re great.
