These are nothing special. They work as described. You hook a clip to your laces so if you don’t have laces on your footwear, they won’t work. They are kind of krinkly sounding when you wear them.

great job of keeping mud, rocks, sand and pine needles out of my boots. Lasted at least 200km of hiking and still in good shape.

Super happy with these! My shoes were covered in burrs without them, and I needed something to help with that. These worked perfectly! I couldn't believe the difference after wearing them!

I got the gaiters specifically for the hike coming down Mt. Fuji and it did the job...the fine gravel did not get inside my boots. It was still in good shape afterwards and will be useful on future excursions.

I was pleasantly surprised with these.I expected that maybe they weren't as good as they looked in the pics or that they were harder to get situated in place or didn't stay in place. They go on quickly though, and are easily adjusted to fit. The first time I used them I did have to stop twice as I had only loosely put them around the top of my shoes and they of course rode up.But once I realized that they really needed to go down far on the back of the shoe and the strap must be tightened to keep them down there they work consistently and perfectly each time.I was afraid too that the strap on the back of the snowshoes would move them around but once I got the gaiters below this strap they stayed in place just fine, over many miles of snowshoeing and time.My advice is to put them around your calf above your shoe, velcro them in place, and then stretch the bottoms of them down over your shoe where you want them instead of trying to stretch them around your shoe at first and velcro them. Once you get them in place then slid the straps under your shoe and up through the buckle and slip the front hooks over your laces and you are set.I am not sure about durability so far but I think the above method can help in that you are not overly stretching them and trying to pull them in place. They are not real thick and I would guess that too much pulling and tugging would make them more likely to rip.But they are perfect for what they are supposed to do.They are a single thickness of waterproof material so if you are hoping for extra warmth you probably are not going to get it.My ankles are fine, being protected by good socks and from the wind and snow with these gaiters but if you have cold extremities then maybe you'd need an insulated gaiter instead. So, these are what I consider to be just right for gaiters - they keep the snow and wet away from any exposed sock/ankle below the pants and above the shoes.

I work in a food factory and when I'm done I take a high pressure sprayer to spray the bottom of my steel toe boots to get the food out of the bottom of my shoes and it gets my pants wet. They are at best water resistant but not waterproof. My pant legs were less wet afterward but not dry. They stayed in place the whole 10 hours and the strap held up after the 3 days I wore them. They are very thin but at least I wasn't soaked through like usual. They do help somewhat for what I wanted them for. The seller also put the black color back up for me after after I asked him to when he had taken it down. It was back up a day later so that was nice of him. For $10 bucks they are worth it for me. I didn't get sweaty with them on either.

I work in a state park, cutting fallen trees and mowing the edges of trails. I bought these gaiters to keep sawdust, burrs and debris out of my boots. They work great! Even in 85 degree heat, my ankles don't get sweaty, so they aren't too warm. Water repellency works great, and they haven't melted when I accidentally spray DEET on them. The length is perfect, too, reaching just below my calf muscle. After 10+ hours of hard usage, they show no signs of wear. Fast and easy to put on, I forget I'm wearing them. Then my wife yells at me for tracking sawdust into the house! Great product - great value!

These gaiters are nice...fabric, weight, value, , but slip down and do not really have a mechanism for tightening them.
