Had other gaiters that always fell down my ankle, felt loose or just didn't stay in place. These are fantastic. Fit snuggly and lightweight. No complaints.

Easy to adjust and great fit. They kept the snow out of my cleats and my ankles warm.

It’s been while since I purchased them but I was waiting for snow to try them out.I wear Canadian size 8 boot. I’m 5’6 195lbs.They are snug but I’m not using them with a low profile boot.Mid to low boot heightMy boot is a winter hiking boot and it has some kirth to it. Warned down installation.I normally use leg warmers to prevent snow getting into my boots. They keep my boots and shines dry and no more hanging my leg warmers to dry out, which never did in time lol.Great quality!!!Thank you!

Good quality. Love the color. Great for keeping birds and dirt off your legs and out of your shoes!

These gaiters work just like they should. They're easy to put on, don't slip, and they're not obnoxious/don't get in the way. They're light and breathable. Durability remains to be seen but I have high hopes.

They are well-made and look good. Allow custom fit. However, they feel over-engineered. The adjustments are tricky to lock in and the zipper is difficult (has to be lined up just right). These are fine if you are going to wear them all day, but aren't worth the hassle for shorter adventures, like a 5-10 mile trail run.

The small/medium fit my size 8.5 boots nicely (the strap under foot is easy to adjust) and they are easy to put on. The genuine YKK zippers are rugged and easy to zip up. Stitching and fabric are top quality. I'm using these gaiters for fat biking. The replaceable strap under foot is a nice feature considering the pins on my pedals will possibly chew through the straps after extended use. However after riding quite a bit, the straps are still looking like new. They are a made from a tough material.

I wanted these gaiters primarily for keeping rocks, debris, and muck from getting into the tops of my boots and down my socks when I'm hiking in shorts. In the L/XL size with the strap at full length I can comfortably wear them over my Solomon Quest Element full hiking boots size men's 11. Theres only a couple of inches of gaiter above the boot but more than enough to prevent debris getting in.I've only worn them for fit so far but they are light (despite being the heavier weight model) and seem reasonable tough. The fabric is stretchy and breathable with a DWR so not waterproof. This is fine as I want them to keep out debris more than anything else and I have full length Gore Tex gaiters if I need serious rain protection.I went with the RENAgaiter model because it has a hard plastic protector over the side of the strap because I'll be using this in rocky terrain. Right now my only concern is the life of the zip. Depending on the size of your boot you may have to pull the sides together a bit to start the zip. Time will tell if that stresses it.

Purchased the RENAgaiter Mid Gaiters to keep ticks and debris from entering my mid height hiking boots while keeping the morning dew off my socks and pants.Spraying the gaiters with permethrin, vs my socks, is a benefit. They're easy to put on and off. With the zipper, you don't need to take your boot/shoe off. They have an inside label identifying left/right, and the under-the-boot strap adjusts for hiking boots and trail shoes. These are not waterproof, but they do have some water resistance that is useful in wet vegetation. I wish these would come in a light tan color so I'd be able to see any ticks, plus a lighter colored fabric would reduce heat absorption. I believe these are sturdier than the lighter weight INSTAgaiters, but I don't own those so I can't compare.I have worn these twice this week. Each hike was quite different.First hike was a short 3.5-mile varied trail that included woods and then into very dense and overgrown vegetation with 6 ft tall marsh grass. The base strap below my boots did not collect vegetation. They kept bugs and debris out. However, it was 78 degrees, sunny, and humid, so these dark colored gaiters retained additional heat. I still would wear these again in those conditions. On my second hike, I wore these for the first 5 miles out of 15-miles. It had rained prior to the hike so trail vegetation was wet. These kept my pant legs and socks dry. I later took them off because my feet were becoming warm with temps in the upper 70's. The trail had dried and was relatively free of debris that could kick up into my mid boots. I tucked my pants into my socks.I'm glad I bought these. I recommend they add a light tan or grey color to the offerings as this dark color absorbs the heat.

These lightweight gators are just what I needed to keep out all the little seeds that go into my boots when doing field work in the summer time. The zipper does wiggle itself loose and needs a periodic check, so it could use a hook to secure the top, but otherwise I like them.

I hike around LA several times a week and have to make several stops to clean out small rocks and sticks out of my hiking boots until recently. I got a pair of these gaiters and they work far better than I expected. Not even sand gets in my shoes. I wish I had gotten them sooner. The only thing I will say is that I prefer to use the zipper on the inside because it is easier for me to zip it up. This hasn't affected the gaiters effectiveness at keeping out debris from my shoes. I am very happy not having to make several stops to pour out sand, dirt, small rocks and sticks out of my shoes anymore. I recommend these gaiters.

i’m no gaiter expert but these provided good coverage and stayed in place very well. used them for sledding on mostly snowpacked long steep driveway (went up and down driveway probably 20 times)and about 2.5 mile hike on mostly snowpacked moderate trail - both high country, below zero windchill. did not traverse rocks, logs, water. gaiters did not budge, the fabric and attachment features allows for movement without shifting around.snow would have gotten into my low cut hiking boots had i not had used these gaiters. these kept me completely dry and warm. and the gaiters were dry when i took them off.easy on and off - watch the video and make adjustments upon receipt (in the comfort of warm housing)i have size 8 women Merrell low cut waterproof hiking boots, not real heavy boots but warm, and snowboard pants that have fairly wide pant leg. i ordered the size ‘small midi’ gaiters - adjusted the foot strap to the biggest setting which was comfortable zipping up, had wiggle room.gaiter covered the back of my boot completely to top of the sole and the front hooked securely to bottom lace just as pictured. adequately covered my wide insulated pant leg. no slippage at all - no wet or chilled feet. great no slip coverage.i could not detect the presence of that strap - it fits so well under the boot - that steep driveway was very slippery in a few spots, i think a wider strap would have made for difficult footing. the strap can easily be replaced if provided by manufacturer or retailer.I don’t know if needed but if i were to go on extended rigorous excursion that included rougher terrain i would carry extra straps - great strap design imho.looking forward to using these in warm dry conditions to see if they repel sticky plants.4 stars because my use of them has not yet covered more diverse terrain and this is my first time using gaiters. the vanity side of me does wish these had a couple bright kinda neon colors (bolder accents) to choose from, but i love them anyway.
