Currently using this on my bed against the headboard and it works well. I gave it a day to 'inflate' after opening. While the back isn't super thick, it's enough for me to rest comfortably against the wall or headboard- it's not intended to be a stand-alone support. If the arms were longer, it would be perfect! Hence 4 of 5 stars.

This is so nice. I would highly recommend this especially if you are bedridden. It's great to sit in bed and watch TV or to read.

I was super leery of this at first. It came compressed and even after several hours did not seem like it was going to puff up but it finally did. It is super firm foam and comfortable. Supportive and sturdy. The cover comes off for washing. Price is a little too high for what you get but still love it.

This pillow absolutely works, I read the other reviews and those who were complaining must've not gave it the full 48 hrs to fluff and expand. It's sturdy and will absolutely support your arms while watching TV or gaming! The front right pocket on the side actually kept my soda cold for hours, the pocket on the left arm is perfect for remotes or other things you might not want to lose track of on the bed. The size of the back rest could be a bit taller for "husband" size but if you don't mind having your favorite pillow for head support it's perfect

Listen to other reviewers: after taking this out of the vacuum sealed bag, let it sit for about 24 hours. It will fill in!!That said: this pillow is...fine. It is very firm so if you were hoping for something to sink into, this is not it. This is meant to keep your back straight. I do wish the back part was a bit taller as it only goes to my lower neck when I sit upright, leaving my head without support.The arms are also a little to tall. When sitting trying to read or play my Switch, my arms rest a bit higher than is comfortable for a resting position.

Full disclosure, this wasn't for me, but for my wife. She sits in a recliner watching TV when she's home. The only problem is that the recliner is big and she isn't, so she is always half slid out of the chair with no back support. I like the size of this one because she can sit in the chair and it moves her forward enough to be comfortable without slouching and still sit in the chair. A lot of these cushions are meant to be used in bed and are so big that they take up the whole chair and don't leave you sitting on the edge of the chair. Now I have to explain my wife's rating system which includes her tone of voice. "It's okay" with no enthusiasm means 1-2 stars and it's going back. "It's fine" with some enthusiasm means 3-4 stars and she is probably going to keep it, but needs to use if for a week or two to decide. "I really like this" spoken enthusiastically is 5 stars and seldom happens, because she rarely raves about anything, but it does mean I don't have to drive to Whole Foods to return whatever she wants returned. Right now she is at "It's alright" so it isn't perfect, but she hasn't tossed onto the floor, so she'll probably keep it and hopefully I won't have to go to Whole Foods to return it. Nothing against Whole Foods, it's a nice store and I like shopping there, but by now I can drive there blindfolded. I have sciatica and did sit in her chair once to try the cushion and I thought it had good back support and was comfortable enough that I might get one, but I've only tried it once, and besides, my opinion usually has very little influence on her opinion. After 51 years of marriage, I'm firmly entrenched in "Yes Dear" mode.

We got this for my son's dorm room, where he was spending most of his time sitting on his bed. He was studying there, eating there, and hanging out there. He didn't think this was a good idea at first, but since he was leaning against a cement wall, he has changed his mind completely. He likes the pockets in the arms, and the fact that the back is high enough for him to sit almost upright. The foam in the main section provides good back support; the foam in the arms allows him to lean on one side or the other without the foam collapsing. The price is great for the quality and design.

I purchased this for my mother in law as she watches most of her tv in her bedroom. I originally thought I had got the wrong item, as it came compressed and the package said "husband pillow". I opened it the night before I gave it to her so it would have time to decompress and fluff up. After wrestling with the 'arm' attachments (which are very floppy), it sat overnight and the full next day.... needless to say, it does not look anything like what is advertised. It hardly 'fluffed' up (it's been 4 days now) and is very flimsy feeling. I am very disappointed in this item I paid over $50 for.

I got this Kolbs pillow and I love. The quality is there. I find very comfortable for my sore back.
