It is a combo player to play the VHS and DVDs. One week ago it started to statter, and now it will not play at all. Very disappointing. I was really happy to buy it.

I had a lot of older VHS tapes and newer DVD discs and wanted to use them all. Buying this combination VHS / DVD unit allows me to use both without the need for two players. After purchase support was excellent.

The player will not work with the remote it came with,but works with a player I already have. The player will not shut off when the button is pressed, it turns off and then comes back on. I basicly bought a $300 plus dollar remote

This model does NOT offer S-VHS — only S-DVD. I bought it hoping to output S-VHS to a capture card and the S-Video output was under "DVD Only" and, as expected, did not work when I tried to output a VHS signal through S-Video.

Well, the good thing is the product came even a day before it was supposed to, but the product ate my first three tapes I put in and then I had to cut the tape to get it out so I'm sad to say I had to return it right away. Hopefully I can repair the VHS tapes
