We used to have one of these and then ours went out. I found this through an online search and am so glad I bought this one. So far it's been working really well. They're getting harder and harder to find. We love ours!

This product is awesome! It works and functions as advertised on this site. The only thing is that this product doesn't exactly come with a user's manual. Brightside is that the product ID info is easy to find, so it makes finding a user's manual for this product online easy. It's in great, brand new condition. It came in as if it just got released off for sale to general public for first time ever. It is great to work with after awhile, especially when using modern day electronic items usually used with tv. The only other caveat is that the right type of TV must be used for this device.

This was given as a gift. As I write this, the CD's can be viewed, but it doesn't record. This is still being worked on to see if someone else can help. If this won't record, it will be returned!

The DVD doesn't work. The VHS works, but not the DVD. I bought this device to record movies onto my computer, but the DVD's don't run or open. Seller: Please contact me with instructions on how to operate or I will return the item. Thank you.

It's a great vcr/dvd player. However, I was under the impression that it would be able to allow me to transfer my VHS tapes into DVD disks. Boy was I out of luck. This player will only record to VHS tapes... NOT DVD disks.It allowed me to view my family vhs tapes again, but I will need to resell this on Ebay and take on some losses.Can anyone recommend a vcr/dvd recorded combo that would allow me to record my vhs tapes on DVD disks? (basically, transferring family videos).

I also began having the incorrect disc problems that I've read about on here. The VCR still works, but hte DVD side is useless. I understand that DVD players sometimes just quit on you, but after not even one year? To me that's a sign on bad quality. I'm giving up JVC after this as well. I'm sticking to Sony or giving another brand a shot.
