We moved into a house that was flipped. They put the nice under-cabinet LED strips in so you could see everything you’re doing on the counter wonderfully. However, after 2 years, all of the sudden all of the lights knocked down to about 50% brightness. Our handyman tested this thing to make sure it was working and sure enough, it was not! He took a pic and said he’d pick one up next time he was at Home Depot but I had him send me the pic and I bought his one on Amazon. The replacement is PERFECT! Our LED lights are like super bright once again, what a great quick fix thank goodness. One star off because this exact model started to die after 2 years of daily use.

I bought this to replace the wall adapter for my cable modem/wifi router which would repeatedly need to be replaced. After I switched to this, no more power failures.

I use these to power my Astro dedicated cameras. Works as it should my only complaint is the cable that plugs into the camera is too short. Had to buy a 6 ft extension to give enough room when the camera is moved to a deep space object, other than that no complaints and it’s about 1/3 the price than the Astro manufacturers price.

Set up load to 5 amps and recorded the voltage at 11.3 volts at 5amp load and after 20 - 40 minutes dropped down to 9.5 volts at 5 amps. I need to verify the problem is not the electronic load as the load was only at 50% of it’s capacity so this should be fine but will verify that it is this a problem at full load as the 12V/5A power supply was too hot to handle after 40 minutes after it cooled off the voltage came backup again. I repeated the 5 amp load output and at one hour the voltage fell to 10.5 volts at 5 amps but the power supply case was up to 221 degrees F or 105 C. Did not melt the case but could smell the case to begin to smell. This supply should be fine to use at a lower current but not sure at what current the voltage would not fall below the voltage at the start of the test. I.e. if the voltage drops to say 11.7 at 4 amps at start of test does the voltage stay at 11.7 after the temperature has stabilized after 1-2 hours and is that temperature below 120 degrees f so you do not get burned picking it up! This would be ideal but if the temperature stays below 140 f would be the max I would like to ever see but 221 degrees f is extremely HOT and not safe I shut the test off after one hour as the temperature was still going up. I am rating this at a 1 because it does not meet a safe temperature limit at maximum rated load of 5 amps

I bought one of these a little over a year ago to power 15ft 5050 LED lights for my kitchen cabinets and still working great. I replaced another brand that didn't make a year before failing. Just the other day another one failed of that same other brand so I replaced it with this brand. Very happy so far with these. Another nice bonus is that I use a remote switch that turns the ac power on and off, and the old ones use to have a long delay turning the LED's on. But these come on almost instantly. The model I bought is the 12v/6amp. I recommend these for the price and performance.
