This thumb plane works great. Great weight, construction, and adjustability that stays in place. Exactly what I needed to fine-plane some small areas and rough edges on boards.

This is a great pocket plane and came sharp and ready to use for my purpose. I’m using it to plane cedar shingles for a sidewall installation and it mates up the corners beautifully and small enough I can easily avoid nail heads. The throat is wide enough to allow a wide range of adjustment so I can take fine or thick shavings and can adjust easily

This mini plane is smaller than I thought but still works great. Very sharp out of the box and very well made. I would recommend this tool for small touch ups and small jobs.

My entry door needed a light shave to stop it from sticking. I'm a crafter, not a renovator but figured this small planer might be the right tool for the job. It's small but don't let that fool you, it's actually got some weight and feels heavy duty for its size. Though not an item I'll use often, it'll be nice to have around. The inexpensive price made it worth giving it a try. 100% satisfied and highly recommended.

Frankly, I liked the attractive orange body, black handle and the excellent fit and finish. It weighs 212 grams or about 7.44 ounces. The base is 3 and 7/16 inches long and 1-1/4" wide with gently curving ends and sides. On my plane the bottom was well machined and absolutely flat as checked with a straight edge in several positions. There is no front knob but there is a raised round "pad" that is concave on the top. This makes the plane acceptable to hold and use. It simply does not have the size and handles more normal to large planes, due to lack of room. I have more than 50 planes and consider this Jorgensen to be in the top five in terms of value for my dollar. The plane blade is 01 steel which is noted for excellent sharpness retention. If you wish to buy a plane of this, or similar, size, I suggest that you check the Jorgensen out before spending your money on a higher cost plane.

This is an extremely affordable option for small projects or touching up trim here and there. Comes sharp and ready to use, not a toy like some other "mini block plane" toys which only have one screw to tighten blade and need to be adjusted like the Japanese wood wedge planes.This is easy to use and can adjust blade angle and depth of cut by turning the horizontal screw to loosen/tighten then the small knob that is in line with the plane adjusts cutting depth. There isn't an adjustable throat but for the jobs this is designed for that isn't needed. Comes sharp and ready to use in a neat little cardboard box with oiled paper to keep the sole from rusting. I applied paste wax to it and it glides easily. Sole is flat and square out of the box and fit and finish are amazing for the price!

I work mainly with small light wood structures, balsa, basswood, spruce. Model airplanes and similar projects. Its small size, balance and weight, provides excellent control, cutting efficiency, and accuracy. It's simple but effective blade design makes its easy to make cutting adjustments while in use.
