It got rid of fine sand at the bottom of the pond and is easy to setup and use. Note that you won't feel suction when you turn it on, it must be submerged to start the suction. The manual also states you should submerge it right away after turning on to avoid damaging it. Also at first I found it difficult to twist it to turn it off, but I realized that you can turn it on, not all the way into the official on position where the lines line up, but just twisted enough so it turns on, then turning it off is easier. Otherwise it was too hard to twist, especially when wet.

I have a Polaris 280 that does a great job cleaning my pool, but it doesn't go everywhere. I bought this hoping it would be good to clean dirt and silt from my attached spa and the steps of my pool. I wasn't disappointed. This thing plain old worked. Suction was excellent. It has a collection filter that even fine sand can't escape. I ran it continuously for 20 minutes and the battery is still going. You'll be using your standard brush/skimmer/vacuum pole. Make no mistake, you will not be vacuuming large areas with this, nor will you be picking up large leaves. You will, however, get the small debris and grit in the hard to reach areas. Worth $90.

For the last two seasons I have had very fine dust like particles collect on the steps and the 15 foot long sitting ledge of my inground pool. Never before in the past 24 years has that been a problem but it is an unsightly nuisance that you don’t want. Pool pros have told me this is something air born that settles in the pool which, when swept, makes a cloud of what it is, dust. Too fine to be caught by normal net like bags in automatic pool cleaners such as my Polaris. I read the reviews of cordless vacuums such as the Jacuzzi 25250GL seeking one that has a more cloth-like filter rather than a more porous net-like one. Bottom line: Does exactly what it’s described. Vacuumed the areas described and in 15 minutes it sucked up the dust which was contained in the filter and additionally used it to vacuum the ledge and bottom of the hot tub. Had to rinse the “bag” of the dust and was grinning ear to ear. Bottom line: it does the job! Well made, easy to use, priced such that I wish I had purchased it two seasons ago. Highly recommend it to solve the problem I’ve described. Can also pick up larger debris such as leaves but it is too small to use alone for an entire pool.

When purchasing one of these vacuums make sure you also purchase additional part X2, P22X031-LV/CENTRA021-LV, the collector locking handle. I am on my third one since purchasing new on 06/10/21.First 2 were purchased not realizing there is a 2 year warranty on this unit.

This works great for getting the small particles that settle to the bottom. Much easier to setup and use rather than the pool vacuum and filter.
