Good quality. You get what you pay for. I ordered a Seadog and it failed( seized ) first use because the metal was too soft. The Jabasco is quite a bit more expensive but 3 times the quality.

This took all of the frustration out of changing out the impeller on my boat. You are supposed to change it every year but since it's frustrating and time consuming its usually more like 3 or 4 for me and that is only going to bite me in the butt hard one of these days. This thing made it so simple that i will definitely be doing it as part of my winterizing check list. Good quality too. If it is made in China it does not seem like it. Definitely worth the money!

とても狭い条件でしたので使えるか心配でしたが少し加工をしましたがヤンマー4LHのインペラが取れました。劇的にやりやすいのでお勧めです。

I've been a Marine technician of almost 20 years now. A Impeller puller is an essential tool when servicing inboard engines. I ordered this so I didn't have to keep borrowing a co workers. First thing I noticed was this seems to be a much inferior metal and construction as compared to my co workers. even though they are the same part number (See the attached pictures) The older model is made of stainless steel, and the puller arms are tapered and the teeth to grab the impeller are sharp. I tried out my new puller today while servicing a Volvo Penta D6-350 engine. Well even clamped down as tight as possible it slid right off and didn't work. So I had to go back to borrowing my co workers. I'm going to try filing down the puller arms on the new puller, and sharpening the teeth. I'll make it work, just disappointed that lots of new tools are inferior to the old ones they are replacing. in the pictures the orange handled one is the old one, also the handle on this one was cut down because the extra long one the way it comes can't be turned in tight spaces. The other pictures show the differences in the puller arms.

after struggling for hours upsidedown through the floor hatch above my Yanmar 440 diesel, i finally broke down and bought this impeller puller. It took me less than 30 minutes to remove the impeller once i got this tool. Worth the money.Only suggestion back to Jabsco is that they make the finger tighteners smaller profile so that it's easier to get into tight spots.

The tool worked perfectly. It would have been easier to use if a bit more compact. It is expensive for what it is.

If you own a boat, chances are that the engine has an impeller in the cooling water system. If you're like me, changing the impeller was one of the most frustrating jobs I had to do, and thus ofter put off. That is until a fellow cruising sailor loaned me this tool. I could not believe how easily the old impeller came out. My engine (Yanmar) has a rather small clearance between the water pump and starter, so I simply removed the large screw and used it without, pulling by hand. Still easy. Just be sure you get the right diameter tool. I makes a big difference. Also, This was the best price I found for this wonderful tool. Worth it at any price, though!

After ruining two impellers over the last couple years when it was time to winterized, I asked the mechanic at a local Malibu dealer how he takes the impellers out without destroying them. He showed me this puller and I ordered one right away. This fall was my first time using it and it worked like a charm. It was easy to get into the small space at the back of the engine and didn't damage the impeller at all. If you live in an area that requires you to winterize your boat I'd highly recommend this puller which will allow you to save you impeller to reuse.
