An individual fitting that fit in place of the older, broken bracket it was replacing. Despite not being an analog, the screw holes aligned perfectly. Lots of options on the search page - this one was inexpensive, as advertised, and arrived fast.

J'ai acheté ce support de rampe pour remplacer celui qui s'était brisé sur la rampe de ma descente d'escalier. Il est plus robuste et de meilleure qualité que le précédent. Belle qualité à bon prix. Très satisfait.

I wasn’t expecting it to arrive with 1 handrail bracket. Rated low because I’ll have to purchase another one now.

Bought these to install a second handrail on a short staircase, they are a perfect match for the ones I bought 20 years ago. Contrary to some earlier reviews, the provided screws are more than strong enough to resist breaking......as long as you pre-drill the screw holes, and apply a little bit of bar soap or wax to the threads. Pre-drilling and lubricating the threads should be common practice for all wood screws, especially for brass wood screws.

Schlage has made these for quite a while. I ordered extras to reinforce our stair rail which was attached with only two brackets. Installation in this instance was difficult due to the contour of the small brackets that screw to the wooden rail. They are not deep enough to accommodate the end of the wall bracket, preventing the small bracket from screwing down completely to the rail. I managed to get the job done, but with difficulty. The other existing brackets could be deeper, too, but they are deeper than these new ones. and screw down completely.these are made of anodized aluminum. the finish should stand up well- the existing brackets are over 10 years old and in good condition. I had no problem with them but as they are aluminum keep in mind they may be very stiff and a little brittle. they seem very strong. Be certain the screws all go into a wall stud. this will require a high quality stud finder, as the screw holes are wide enough apart to make getting into a stud a little tricky.
