It cuts decent dowels, but they are slightly undersized so they are loose in a 3/8" hole. The dowels I cut were consistantly .344" instead of .375". It also burned the wood as it cut, although that might have been my fault.

Works fine. Can easily cut some decently clean plugs with a drill. No complaints here.

Have to put a lot of pressure to use and heats up quick. And doesn’t fit as well as I’d hoped

This cutter worked for me I only needed 24 plugs for countersunk screws.

Bought this after scouring the websites and usual overpriced woodworking stores. Not sure what all the negative review are for. Here is how I used it:1) Mounted in a drill press2) 800 RPM speed (too fast and expect smoke and dull edges on cutter)4) Moderate pressure when cutting. Take your time.I cut plugs from Cumaru. One of the hardest woods on earth. They cut beautifully and as you can see from the digital caliper reading, spot on at 3/8". Not sure what else could be asked for.Don't expect to use it in a hand drill or a drill attachment and get the same results as a drill press. Spend some time learning how to use the tools you buy properly and you will generally get great results.

Cuts well and plugs fit 3/8 inch hole perfectly. So far I have cut hundreds of plugs and the bit works as well as it ever has

El producto no me agrado, al hacer los tapones se calienta mucho y es muy complicado...logre hacer tapones de 2mm sin problemas de mayor espesor no funciona muy bien.
