As exspected a cheaper tool has some flaws. It doea work but it seems as though it shaves off a little copper from the inside and pushes it in and you go into the pipe. Havent had a problem cleaning shavings out with. Small screwdriver yet so I still use it.

Unfortunately, I ordered the size that was recommended, and received the correctly labeled item, but it doesn't come close to fitting in 1/2" pipe, it is much too small. Listen to the other reviews. I waited too long to test it out, and now I have to throw it away. I should've bought the name brand 4 pack.

In a pinch this is just about as cheap a solution as you can get to swage copper tubing for HVAC work. There are more expensive hydraulic pipe swaging tools if you want to spend over $100.

Bit works well however it worked much much better with a bit of lubricant. When dry it gets very hot and hard to get a round full length section. I did a 3/8” AC pipe and didn’t want to use an oil so I put a small amount of the solder paste on bit and presto! It worked like a charm! After a few trial pcs you get the feel for how much pressure to use.

My IWISS swaging set is great but lacks a 1/4" head....and this tool bit is the next best thing. I think it works better than the SPIN bits that I've used in the past. An added plus is that this bit fits into a impact driver. As an added note, I've found that reaming the pipe a little makes the process go a little faster.

It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s nice to be able to buy the one bit as opposed to a full set of SPIN bits

I couldn't find a 3/8 spin swage sold separately so I gave this a shot. Even though they are in metric the 9.9mm works perfectly for 3/8 OD tubing...it's a super good fit. A co-worker of mine let me try the spin swage and honestly I think this one works faster, doesn't get as hot, and also doesn't seem to want to twist the tubing as much. I'm just using an M12 drill and it has plenty of power to make the swage. Hopefully it is durable...time will tell. I also haven't tried any of the other sizes. For big stuff I really like my iwiss hydraulic swager. I bought this mostly to do quick swages for filter dryers etc so I don't have to get out my hydraulic sweger just to make one swage for a filter dryer.
