I was surprised define this item in Amazon and not see it anywhere else. I’d give it five stars if it covered more space but it’s pretty solid deal. This is a no-brainer to have if you have a VR. And it’s not bright at dark whatsoever.

Impress that my battery pack can run this. If you point it up at the ceiling you get better results. Don't forget the shadows that are caused by your body so you want to use this in front of you more than in back of you suggest that you put up higher out of line of sight to spare your quest 3's pass-through hardware.

Made ZERO difference. In my play area I have lights only on 1 side the other side is darker I thought this would help with tracking it did nothing 😔 I even put in a nanny type cam with night vision it's supposed to help with that aswell again it did NOTHING you can see the light itself it's bright small circle glowing. The rest of the room is just as dark with or without it. My guess they are just some cheap red LEDs not real i.r lights.

I have to play in a room with the light off some nights, boy oh boy is it frustrating for the psvr2 to lose tracking, move to a completely different screen without warning, and WITHOUT PAUSING in some cases (has gotten me killed a few times).This, or something like this is a must have for any vr gamer that sometimes needs to play in a dark room for whatever reason. Functions perfectly, and bright enough to do exactly what it's advertised to do.DEFINITELY worth the money. I might need another one to cover more area...I just don't want to but another one yet (hint hint! I want another)

I recently purchased a couple of these IR lights for my Quest 2 to solve some tracking issues I was having. I'm happy to report that these little babies work as advertised. I placed them on the floor angled slightly upward, and my problem is solved. For me, this product was an affordable and convenient solution to a problem. If you're having tracking issues, I recommend giving these lights a try. You won't be disappointed..

I also have the other style of IR lights. They work best if mounted on a wall. This style with the gooseneck makes it much more portable. I can move it to a different room and easily set up a space for VR. I also really like the on/off switch, When off a nice blue glow makes it easy to locate.

Works ok but the area coverage is not all that great and not very bright. Will lose tracking a little bit more than my older IR light.The base is also very light so you need something to weight it down so it doesn't over on you. Hopefully they have a better usb version later on that addresses these issues.

The Quest 3 handles low light definitely but isn't perfect, having this IR lamp eliminates the need for any light source entirely and actually improves the tracking in the Quest 3. Really felt skeptical at first but this portable IR is part of my VR kit now along with a portable battery for it.The only cons about the product is the way it's built, like the twisting head is perfect for portability but the base is just unable to stand it the head is leaning to far in any direction besides straight up. But it's an easy DIY fix by attaching and covering the open underside with working heavy. I may even buy a 2nd one for full coverage so that I won't need to face the 180° degree field of the IR.Also heat isn't that bad, all it gets is warm in room temperature areas and less if air conditioned, played with it on for 6 hours on a portable battery
