Misleading description of the pictures. Pictures show a power cable attached, but does not show the end of the cable. The assumption would be that it would be a standard 110ac plug. That assumption is wrong! You will need to buy the additional power supply for each illuminator. Highly disappointed and do not recommend using this seller.

When I first looked at the product, I thought that the build quality was lacking, so I used my phone to test the unit in a dimly lit room. I found a row of 6 LEDs would not illuminate, and I prepared to give a 2-star review....BUT as soon as I brought it outside at night, my security camera sees it like a vehicle headlight!I am absolutely blown away at how well this IR light performs, even with the light at near ground level (pictured)Although this is a little pricer than I would like, I am going to buy another for another area of my property.

I have several different sizes of IR spotlights/illuminators. This one was a disappointment in that it doesn't illuminate the area it's in as well as I expected. It seems to have a narrow beam of illumination. It also takes quite a while to "heat up" and provide maximum illumination. Maybe I expected too much, but for the price i did expect a lot.

Bought this for use with a Bosch FLEXIDOME IP starlight 7000 (NIN-73023-A3A) in a very dark environment. The camera has extremely good low light/IR sensitivity and it worked very well with this IR illuminator. After about 18 months I started seeing intermittent flickering in the camera FOV at night caused by the illuminator failing and then started losing the LEDs a few at a time until it finally burned out completely.I decided to spend a little more on a 120 deg and I'm hoping I get better lifespan out it.

Il est bien mais le faisceaux est étroit il faut alors éclairer de très loin, donc pour moi bof....La finition n'est pas trop mal.

Waiting for nightfall was the hardest part about installing these illuminators.I bought 2 and used 30ft extensions to power them.No visible projected light at all, just the slight red glow from the LEDs when looking back at them while standing in the dark.But...Looking through the camera's lens, you can see everything! Clearly lit in a huge area!I am very pleased with this item and will be purchasing more to increase property coverage.I have given 5 stars upon this review for nightvision, brightness and water resistant.Having done so, I must point out my not having these 2 months yet, even though being rained on a few times, they do appear and function perfect. I should think they will remain doing so for some time.One is mounted under an overhang, one is fully exposed to weather.I will return with an update if ever one fails.So...NO news will be good news!

Going to need a 12 V power supply with the round plug. We use this to help brighten an area so we’re surveillance cameras can see better while using night vision and it does work.

In der Beschreibung ist von 40 Meter Reichweite die Rede. Aus meiner Sicht eine absolute Übertreibung. Nach ca. 3 Metern wirds finster (Blick durch Infrarotkamera). Zudem ist die Leuchtwirkung extrem Spot-artig. Man muss also einen kreisförmigen Punkt in 3 Meter Abstand in der Nacht beobachten wollen, dann passt dieses Produkt.

This came very quickly well befor the date it said tried it out briefly last night works really good from what iv seen so far. It was really well boxed 10/10 I'm using this with a camcorder for paranormal investigations and looking forward to taking it out and properly using it thanks

Update 2/16/2022: This illuminator died in October 2021.. It lasted about four years. Very disappointing. :-(I felt I needed to pass this on to others.——-The IR Illuminator LEDs work very well. The beam appears to be closer to a 40 degree angle, which is about the 45 degrees as advertised - OK . Reasonably good for close to medium throws outdoors, but for indoor use, look for a more wide beam unit than this unit is. The unit is advertised for outdoor use. The LEDs have a discernable dull red glow when viewed head-on, therefore it is is slightly visible at night. If this would be a problem, then use a 970 nm wavelength, but first check your camera to be certain that it isn't outside of the recommended operating specs. It is 12 VDC so buy a converter if used on household 120VAC power. It has a photoelectric switch built-in so it only operates when dark. The body is a finned metal casting and built ruggedly. I'm not disappointed and recommend it.
