The timer was exactly what I had ordered the only issue I had was that the timer wasn’t the problem. They gave me no problem to return it. If I ever need another one I will certainly order from this company. They came through for me.

The TP104P3 performs as well the one it has replaced after 15 years of service. It’s a great value for the money, and I expect it to last as long as its predecessor. It’s also very easy to install.

The unit and mechanism seemed fine and worked well for about nine months. The switch mechanism is mechanical. Gears cause a calibrated aluminum disk to rotate once every 24 hours. The on and off switches are clips mounted to the edge of the disk with thumbscrews. The back sides of the clips trip the switch mechanism. The switch mechanism was so stiff it eventually caused the clips to slip. When I tightened the thumbscrews with pliers, the clips stopped slipping, but eventually the entire disk started slipping because the switch mechanism needed too much force to operate. The mechanism is fastened inside the plastic box and I haven't tried to take out the mechanism for fear of breaking the fasteners, so can't see behind the disk very well, but I can see it turns by gears. So I assume the gears are stripped, because when the disk meets a clip, the disk stops rotating. I'm now looking for an electronic replacement for this unit and recommend readers consider the same.

Great product and works perfectly. I'm using it for a Pool pump and I've had no issues with over a year in use.

Interesting problem solved. My pump shorted out (impeller went bad and leaked) and this caused a huge flash inside the intermatic control box when I turned on the pump manually with the switch in the intermatic box. I had to replace the pump, but the intermatic control was stuck in the always on mode due to the power surge. I then just used the breaker in the breaker box to turn the pump on and off. Then one day, nothing. So I order this exact replacement and did the swap myself. Very easy to do, just be sure you kill the power and use a voltmeter to ensure no live wires. Went to turn on the pump, it dd not work. I checked each connection and each had 110 volts. I puzzled over this for 2 days, connecting and reconnecting and still nothing. If you look at the internal control module, going from right to left, I use the first 4 of the connections, not the 5th, and each showed 110 volts. I was starting to think that the new one was defective, even the timer dial was not operating. I finally went to my local pool supply store and spoke with them. I brought the old timer and showed them how I had the wires connected and what voltage I was seeing. They told me my breaker had either become weak or gone bad, even though I was still seeing voltage. The said on the 1st and 3rd screw connector, I should see 110 volts, on the 2nd and 4th screw connector, I should see 220 volts. I thought they were crazy, but they were correct. I purchased a new breaker, swapped it and and everything started to work perfectly. Hope this information is useful to someone.
