Easy replacement for the timer guts in my T104P pool pump timer. No need to remove from the wall, turn off power at breaker, disconnect the wires from old module, pop the old timer out (clips in on top), snap the new module in, reattach wires. Includes new on and off pins, but remember to keep your old pins so you have extras.

This timer was a replacement for my older timer that had worn out. It was the exact replacement I needed, fit in the old housing absolutely no problems.

This popular device works as described and is very easy to install. My only recommendation is to not over tighten the trigger. It could warp the cheap timer plate rendering the device useless.

My pool has two Intermatic T104M switches...one controls the pool pump and the other controls the pool cleaner booster pump. After many years of reliable service, I needed to replace the Intermatic switch for the booster pump. Having replaced the Intermatic switch for the pool pump a year earlier, I knew this process was a bit time consuming, but fairly straightforward and within my capabilities. In spite of the surprising price increase of 20% in just one year, I did not hesitate to order another Intermatic switch. I installed the new timer switch with no difficulty. It performs perfectly! I look forward to many years of reliable service from another Intermatic switch.

The timer for my Polaris booster pump stopped ticking, so the cleaner would never run. I was still able to manually turn it on, but that was a pain, of course. The back of my (nearly 20-year-old) timer is stamped T1202M*1, and when I looked it up, it seemed that everyone was saying to get this T104M model to replace it. Looking at it, they do look identical, and I now have it installed and running just fine. The installation is not hard at all. The timer itself snaps right out, and then it is just a matter of connecting the existing wires to the new timer exactly like they were on the old one. I'm thinking now that I possibly could have just swapped out the timer motor on the back (WG1573-5), but for a little bit more, I have a full new mechanism. So glad I did this myself instead of paying double or more for the pool company to come out.

The T104M boasts a sturdy metal construction that exudes quality and durability. The compact design (6.5" x 4.5" x 2.25") makes it ideal for use in tight spaces, such as basements or crawlspaces. The time switch's ruggedness and weather-resistance ensure reliable operation even in harsh environments. The T104M features a simple, intuitive mechanical mechanism that's easy to set and adjust. The on/off toggle switch is smooth and requires minimal force to operate, reducing wear and tear over time. The built-in clock mechanism allows for precise timing (15-minute increments) and has a reliable locking system to prevent accidental changes - if needed. I found the T104M to be impressively accurate with the time, with an average deviation ofonly 1-2 minutes from the set time. This level of precision is essential for controlling pool pumps, water heaters etc it ensures consistent on/off cycles and energy efficiency. The Intermatic T104M Mechanical Time Switch is a reliable, easy-to-use device that excels in terms of accuracy, power handling, and durability. Its rugged construction and simple mechanical mechanism make it an excellent and the one I replaced was well over 20 years old.

If you have a pool, you have devices that need to run on timers. Your pump and filter system. You pool and landscape lights. Who knows what else? You do, you have the pool and you know what you need to run on your own pool.Your pool service technician, they will be trying to sell you the latest-and-greatest electronically controlled, through your phone or tablet, fancy-schmancy unit. And those are nice. I had a house, the pool had four (4) electronically controlled valves, fancy lighting, and was controlled with the equivalent of an IPad 1 from an app that was no longer supported, and the owner lost the IPad => what good was that? And replacement, $$$; thankfully I just rented. So the house I own now, I stick with analog. These are dead reliable and have proven life-span of ~25-years. And cheap in comparison. Sure, these mechanical parts move and wear-out compared to solid-state with no moving parts. I have an Intermatic Box, I needed to replace one of my clocks, this was the clock I needed (pump - 240V). Turn the power off (electricity can kill you), pull the cover off, this goes right in as designed, put cover back on, turn power back on. Boom, pump back on a timer. I would rather replace a cheap device through maintenance than deal with fancy electronics that need entire boards replaced ($$$) or lose support totally as electronics mature. Seriously, look at 10 year old phone - right? Analog devices - 25-year lifespan and dead simple.

A direct no-trouble replacement in a unit that died maybe a decade after installation. This timer works non-stop for half of the year and is used for a 220v pool motor. It’s been more than a year that it’s in place and seems ready for many more.
