This is the second unit that I purchased. The first was in 2015. Recently, the existing unit developed a leak around the handle. I looked at the website and learned that there were no user repairs that could be made. The unit had to be replaced. According to the website, the life expectancy of this unit is 5 - 8 years with a warranty of 5 years. While it is an exceptional unit both in quality and operation, the non-repair is a downside. For the price, you would expect more.

We bought and installed this along with a "InSinkErator HWT-F1000S, One Size, Silver" under cabinet water heater/filter and a Delta Essa faucet. First off, they look terrific together. Secondly, this little faucet cost as much as a touch-controlled, voice activated faucet. Kinda crazy. But, of all the items, this is by far the highest quality. The finish is superb, and the tolerances are super tight. There is nothing wobbly about this. It is all smooth, all the time. From the swing nozzle to the handle, it just feels good. In addition, installation was the easiest of all the components. It wasn't clear to me how it operated, so I'll explain:* To operator, you must depress the lever. This is for either cold or hot water.* You pull the handle forward for cold water. In this direction, it will stay on and not spring back* You push the handle backward for hot water. In this direction, you must continue to push because it will spring back and off.I fully support and appreciate this hot-water operation. The "HWT-F1000S" puts out scalding hot water. Honestly, it is steaming. I think safety dictates that this be as close to child proof as possible, and this is a good solution.I do wish you didn't have to depress the lever for cold water. I reckon that having a default locked mode isn't terrible, but I think it could be more convenient.Do I think this could be sold for $200 less and they'd still make money? Yes. Do I think I will remove it and take it when I move? Also yes. Do I regret the purchase. No. 0%It is excellent.

I had a electric operated European faucet for 4 years but it broke due to the water leak inside of the faucet lines, which never expected for this new Insinkerator faucet. The new design is very sophisticated as well as my pricy old faucet. The price is 1/4 of it. My plumber easily removed the old faucet with electric box and replaced it. I got more smoothe flow of water (one line for hot water and regular cold line was hooked up to Insinkerator chilled water tank, which works great. It had to warm up the water from chilled water tank, which used more electric but I’m still totally sarisfied!

Installation instructions are not clear and never mention the copper tube in any drawings. Very very confusing, I showed it to 2 plumbers who also didn’t understand. I finally had to map my own fluid pathway and try it out to see if it works and it finally did.Once installed though love it, use it everyday. Insinkaerator makes good stuff but I’m concerned that the tank for the hot water is a possible issue for scale buildup. I asked and they said there is no need to descale but my electric kettle needed it every month. Have seen an issue so far but stay tuned. Also might not be the most efficient thing in the world as it’s basically a hot water tank on all the time, and not terribly well insulated. But we love it for now and will see how it goes.

The hot water is great especially for my afternoon tea. I wish the cold water was colder.

We have a new born baby so the hot water dispenser is GREAT to warm his bottles. Plus we use it for coffee and tea. ;-) The safety feature is nice, too. You have to push the lever down to turn on the hot water. The under cabinet heater was easy to install and didn't take up too much space. The best thing for us is the convenience of having the filtered insta-hot and cold water but we also like the look of the faucet because it matches our main sink faucet. That being said, this fixture is larger than most other standard fixtures.

Avoid at all costs. Faucet tap is great idea, sharp looking, but sprays all over, splashes, leaks in nozzle seam, and keeps running after you shut the faucet off. Insinkerator advertises and claims 200 degrees (which is ideal for coffee and white & green tea) but temperature doesn't come close: 174 degrees. Can't even make tea with this, much less coffee. We have to fill an insulated cup or mug with the water, then heat further for 30 seconds in the microwave to get water to 184. It takes almost a full minute of microwaving to get a cup of water to 200 degrees, which is necessary to make fresh filtered coffee. A plumber added teflon plumber's tape to the nozzle threads, which eliminated leaking, but did not eliminate spraying out in all directions. When I called Insinkerator, the rep claimed the interior temperature is 200 degrees. She's lying, however, as we owned instant hot water dispensers for 37 years. We know how they are supposed to work. Insinkerator, you've got the beginning of a great idea with the FHC 3300. Why not just fix the problem while treating us with dignity, courtesy and respect, instead of attempting to play us for fools. Also, beware, the website shows the content of the retail package to include the heater and filter. It does not. You must buy the faucet (which is very attractive and almost very functional), the hot water tank, and the filter separately. Again, it's Insinkerator saying one thing and doing another.
