Siphoned off wine from 5 gallon bottle to small ones. Really easy to use. Guy helping me is getting these too.

First most important thing is that the filtered end is too big for a 1 gallon carboy. I had to sand it down a bit to get it too fit. Second is that the hose is pretty long so for racking you probably want to trim it down a couple feet. After that it worked ok. It's a small hose in diameter so it takes a while to siphon with it. I probably wouldn't buy this again as it's pretty cheaply made and I'm gonna bet it doesn't last too awful long.

I used once for racking and now use both for brake fluid, other fluids, and a dedicated gas siphon. Pretty nifty because you can easily avoid touching whatever fluid you’re working with.

I made several 1 gallon carboys and these worked great over the traditional jig. No spill or mess either. Love the filters since I used fresh fruit in my mead must.
