Item arrived damaged and clearly box was open before, looked like it was someone’s return. As a wine filter it is a great brand I have the smaller version but the seller gets 1 star.

It is good for filtering.A lot of product is lost through the filtration system.

I bought the unit as a used item from Amazon although the description did not say the motor base attachment plastic fitting was broken in 3 pieces. Looking at the box, and slightly bent leg, I guessed the package was originally dropped and returned. All other parts looked new and the pump worked. Not to be deterred, I used JB Weld for thermoplastic and thermoset plastics to repair the base. I just had to screw the pieces to a flat surface while it dried. I'm just thinking next about reinforcing the bracket underside with fiberglass and resin epoxy or a sheet of aluminum. Happy to have a fantastic product at a reduced price even though a repair was needed.

I'm happy with the pump. However I seem to have to change filters more frequently than I anticipated. It could be my wine has more sediment of course. Just my opinion.

Absolutely love this filter! It has changed the flavor of our wine from cheap to fabulous!!! Making wine making go so much smoother!! A must have!!!

*****Update 5/2021******Buon Vino ultimately sent me replacement parts, that are the good quality, like on my first one, at no charge, and now both pumps work great!I have had one of these same pumps for years & loved it, so as my capacity grew, I decided to buy a second super jet pump. I didn’t get around to using it right away, as my old one was still holding up well. At the end of last year, I got the new pump set up & used it a couple times, then it started to leak... bad. I took it apart to see what was going on & it was unfortunately easy to discover the culprit. The machined bracing parts (pictured) were cracked & were obviously weaker & made more poorly than those on the exact same pump that I bought years before (also pictured). I was able to cannibalize the better parts from my old pump, so now I have one working pump instead of two. I tried to reach out to Buon Vino, to alert them to the fact that the newer shoddy parts they are using are causing the filter to malfunction, but they are hard to get ahold of & have provided no response to my inquiry. If I did not have the old filter to steal parts from, I would be left with a very new and unusable machine, so I would never recommend someone buy these newer, lower quality (but more expensive) Buon Vino Superjet filters. I apologize, as I am not sure if the pictures show the part differences, but they are significant. I will continue to reach out to Buon Vino to request they supply working parts for the machine, or I will see if a machine shop can make me replicas of the original stronger & thicker parts. I still need two filters, I bought two filters & I only have one running filter, because I believe Buon Vino changed to cheaper parts at detriment to the quality of their product. Very sad.

This is a awesome product, I would definitely recommend to any wine maker. This item is a must have piece of wine making equipment. Easy to use and the company has a tube video that walks you through the process.
