Always buy the original UCO candles - they perform better and burn much longer than cheaper ones.I have used UCO candles in my Northern Lights candle🕯️lantern for 25 years now and they are great with very little dripping and a good steady flame & illumination. We used the lanterns to light our tent and dry socks 🧦 while in Chile too! The citronella ones smell nice and keep biting critters at bay. There's something cozy about candles 🕯️ that LED light don't have. Great for power cuts too. Recommended.

Citronella Candles do work but are MUCH smaller than I anticipated. Should have been more diligent at reading full description as I wanted them for an outdoor lantern. But, they do burn long and helped with outdoor buggies.

Premesso che dura veramente 7-8 ore, si squaglia lasciando c’era ovunque. Probabilmente la qualità della cera non è buona

I bought the candles as a part of our emergency supply. I fell in love with the candles because it was so soothing at night! After trying all the candles I found the Citronella to be the best. Wonderful candles...no insects (which had been invading our Condo) yet the most beautiful light and wonderful soft enjoyment of each and every night wherein I lighted them. Get them...you will like them very much.!!!

Burned for 9 hrs and 12 minutes in the UCO candle lantern. The one candle I burned did, that is. The rest are reserved for the BOB/WTSHTF. The citronella smells great!!***UPDATE*** I took an impromptu camping trip, mid-November in Wisconsin. My tent has reached the end of it's life, so I slept in the van. It got down to 23f Friday night, burning the ECO lantern + body heat kept the van at 38. I burned 2 candles, fri and sat night. Friday's burned over 11 hours. Saturday's (not as cold, 40f - I did not monitor the temp inside the van that night) burned almost as long! I don't see how, but I wonder if they burn longer in colder temperatures. The one noted above that burned for 9'12" was burned inside the house at about 72f. I also noticed much less Citronella smell in the cold weather, but can't say I care. In my experience nothing really keeps the bugs away better than gold old fashioned cancer causing chemical sprays.I had planned on using these for BOB purposes, but after the success with the 3 I had, this will now be a regular purchase and will always come with me camping. I don't quite get the reviews that complain of all the wax jamming the spring in the ECO lantern. The 3 candles I burned, BURNED the wax instead of MELTING it. When the candle was spent, there was no waxy mess - only a candle stump. I wonder if the folks with the wax trouble are burning non-ECO brand candles. I for one, am sold on the candles AND lantern, and will stick with the ECO brand from here on out.

UCO candles, like their lanterns can not be beat for consistent quality and function. these are a replacement for a set I used on camping trip where our camp got hammered by torrential rain, even a tent with fly wan;t immune to the moisture and we had multiple flash lights and lanterns tie because of the extremely high humidity, in spite of the low temperatures. The UCO candle lantern ended up our only source of light and heat when I fired up the UCO Candelier, a candle lantern with three candles in it that can also act as a heater/stove. In less than a half hour we were dryer out, thawed out and making coffee on the Candelier unit while we used the smaller single candle lantern hung from a hanger in the tent for light. The units worked flawlessly.

I love these little candles! I take them camping and use them to light outside gatherings. They burn bright AND are a good bugs repellent - as long as you stay close to them! The citronella smell is strong but not nearly as bad as most spray bug repellents - plus you can walk away from the candles (at your own risk) and not stink. When the weather is nice we eat breakfast outside and light these candles every morning to keep the bugs away. It is an enjoyable way to start the day and we can walkaway without bug bites or smelling!Additionally, I live in a rural area where the electricity goes out at less once or twice a year. Normally it is due to weather and is back on short; however, five years ago it was out for 10 day! Now I keep these little guys around the house. They are smaller than a flashlight and don't need batteries. They also last longer than cheap flashlights. I can tuck these away without them taking up excessive space and know they are ready to go if needed.Overall, a good product with sooo many uses!

I purchased these for use in my . They work exactly as the other types do. The wax does not drip or build up, and the candle burns similar to the other types. Last right about 9 hours as described. The insect repellent capability is similar to the light capability, meaning that a single candle in the lantern does not light up a large area and the area effected by the Citronella is a similarly sized area. One with these candles in them will keep mosquitos and such away from 2 people sitting at a table, or out of a small tent. If you need a larger area covered, I would suggest using one of the larger Citronlla pot-type candles or similar product. My son and I backpack/minimalist camp together quite a bit, we each have our own allowing for us to have our own light source, and now our own insect repellent source. This is perfect for that type of sitation, or a small patio table (assuming minimal wind). For the price, you cant go wrong. These work well, are inexpensive, and function flawlessly with the UCO line of lanterns. I have not used them outside of the UCO lanters, so their use or effectivness may vary with that.
