How can I further ensure that this candle burns for 15-20 hours?

Perfect for emergency candles. They don't look very pretty when lit, you can see the insides. But if you're looking for it to look nice, put it in a colored glass. They last 15 hours, good price for what you get, the function the way you would expect. The are the size specified when purchased.

Burns an extremely long time! Don’t try to use them by themselves without a candle lantern though, because they need that spring-loaded mechanism to contain the wax. I tried burning one alone, and it immediately dripped itself into a puddle.

These candles are nice for "just in case" moments. They are a good size and provide I think at least 10 hours of consecutive burn time. They are paraffin candles and they smell like paraffin. I normally burn soy wax since paraffin is a petroleum based wax and not as clean or healthy as soy. I did get these candles for emergency use and not daily use, so the odor won't be a big issue. It's just something that sensitive people with respiratory issues should be aware of.You get a decent amount of candles for the price in this set. I rate these at 5 stars for the value. I feel like you can never have enough candles in an emergency. I would recommend these for the value to help in those "just in case" moments.

I waited to try these in a controlled environment with a candle holder just in case they were messy. However, I am glad to say these candles are great! I have been burning one for over 8 hours now and it is right around the halfway mark. The flame is not weak my any means and actually puts of a nice glow. I can easily recommend these for a slow steady burn in case of emergency or just for fun. Note that they do not put off any scent that I can tell. Perfect for candle lanterns!

These are absolutely not 12hr candles individually. I burned one for about 15-20 minutes and it was already about 1/6 of the way gone. They're also smaller than they appear in pictures; they're about 4 inches tall and 1.5 inches in diameter. That said, the amount you get, the way they look, and the versatility make these worth buying for me, as a candle lover.

These are the same form factor as the OEM UCO candles. Based on what I've done so far, these are actually better than the originals.These have a rated burn of 12 hours versus 9 from UCO. I didn't burn it for 12 hours, but I burned it long enough to agree that 12 hours seems to be about right. Also, frankly, these fit the Lantern better than the originals. They come in nice styrofoam sheathing that helps to keep them from bashing into each other and changing shape in the heat.During the burn, they might be slightly less bright, which is maybe why they last longer, but I'm not even sure if it was dimmer, because I could do everything I expected to be able to do. I had no problems at all using the candle. It lit exactly the way you'd expect and didn't sputter or flame out at all. It's an excellent candle.Currently these are slightly less expensive than the originals per candle, but considering you get a full 33% more burn time for each one, it's a pretty big discount. Plus, there's the added convenience that you don't have to carry as many for the same amount of time, and that's always appreciated too.

This is a good option for your UCO candle lantern however they do not seem to be priced much better than the originals from UCO when purchased in bulk, but there is a slight savings. I do not notice any difference in burn time.
